The Waldorf's speciality is making the consultant more productive. They offer support services to the business like 3G connections, laptops etc.
There is a choice of four restaurants to eat in in the shopping centre and they also deliver groceries if you want. It is all very convenient.
Their concierge function arranges your social life during midweek and over the weekends, when one would be sitting doing nothing. I learned to scuba dive through their affiliates over a week.

Top Local Tips for Johannesburg
COST & SECURITY Waldorf apartments are self-catering, so you can save a lot by eating in or use the restaurants across the road if you're not up to cooking. In Johannesburg security is important. The Waldorf is very good. They are polite but thorough about all they let in.
THE BLUES ROOM & OTHER ENTERTAINMENT The Blues Room is a good eveing out if you like music. Food is mediocre, but all is forgiven for the live music. Sandton Square is overrated, try places like Melville for quaint restaurants and Fourways for clubs like Cubana and My Bar My Grill. Stay away from Billy the Bums unless you are under 25. It's a whole lot of noise and underaged teenagers. Good business lunch venues in Sandton are Linger Longa and La Canard Restaurants. On the weekends get out to either Haartebeesport Dam or the Vaal River. Stonehaven on the Vaal is a great place to do lunch and if you want to stay over I recommend you hire a houseboat to cruise the river. Theatre is good... try Victory Theatre in Orange Grove and theaters at Sandton Square and Broadacres Shopping Center (can't remember their names).
THE BLUES ROOM & OTHER ENTERTAINMENT The Blues Room is excellent value. The food is mediocre, but for the live music all is forgive. Favoruite restaurants in Johannesburg are Wombles, La Canard and Linga Longa restaurants. Stonehaven on Vaal River is a great place for Sunday lunch. Sun City is a must and so is the Pilansberg National Park

I would not recommend this apartment complex for the business traveller.
