The hotel staff was fanstastic, the atmosphere, the set-up of he bar/music playing in the afternoon after 5:00 was fanstastic, staff very helpfull and friendly. the food amazing, the location of the hotel, fine.
 

Top Local Tips for Johannesburg

Airport shuttle JHB We had very good service from Airport Shuttle between airport and Sandton. Met us promptly, looked after the luggage, listened to the radio reports of bottlenecks, and worked around them. Great to have a hassle free arrival after a 13 hour flight. We booked (essential) a few days prior + 27 82 748 8853 I would use them again.

In Sandton stay at 5* only hotels 4* seems to be older hotels were staff are in traing or where they dump the untrainable staff.

Shopping is within a safe walking distance You really can walk to the impressive (but expensive for S.A.) shopping mall at Nelson Mandella Square. It takes about 10-15 minutes and is safe - if you dodge the traffic on the road outside the hotel, which is used as a drag strip by the locals!
