Location, location, location!

A very pleasant and economical place to stay. The Fritz is essentially a B&B in an old house just off Kloof Street and its wonderful restaurants, around the corner from the South African Museum and an easy walk to the Company Gardens and downtown Cape Town. The 13 rooms are all unique and unusual. Bathing facilities vary considerably; one room has a sink and a tub with shower in the middle of the room, with a separate small (private) toilet room; others have complete bathrooms some with tub only, others with shower only, others with combinations. The hotel has a wifi network as well as an old, slow laptop PC available for general use in the lobby. Telephones in each room can be dialed directly in or out. Rooms are clean, but furnishings are old and some are not in good condition. The buffet breakfast is good and plentiful and the staff, including Arthur, the owner, is friendly and efficient. The Fritz is not a luxury hotel by amy means, but for a budget conscious traveller, its price and location are terrific.
