Excellent Staff ,Pleasant Surroundings!

We recently came from Canada to visit South Africa. This hotel was a superb place for our arrival because the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Not a single staff member in four days neglected to greet us with a smile. The breakfasts were the best we have ever had when travelling.Our room and bed were smaller than we had expected but we soon forgot about thatin comparison to the service received. We would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Good hotel, shame about the view

Exactly what you'd expect from 4 star hotel. Disappointed having booked 6 months in advance did not get Waterfront view. Front office staff unhelpful when asked about that. Otherwise it was fine with great location just by Waterfront.

Having just returned from my South African adventure I thought I would share my findings! This hotel was everything you would expect from a four star hotel, clean, friendly and above all excellent for those with families. The staff was helpful and breakfasts were great. The only downfalls were the size of the rooms and also the small pool area but this is compensated by the fab location of the hotel! Well worth a visit, great base to explore Cape Town and the surrounding area.

Top Local Tips for Cape Town
Private Tours We booked a private tour with www.capefusion.com to take us down the penisula and visit Seal Island, Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach etc, and do some wine tasting on the way back. It only cost 100ZAR (about £7) more than doing the big bus tour that was bookable through the concierge.
Tax refunds Tax refund office at both airport and the V&A Waterfront for foreign tourists. If you take 5-10 minutes to process your paperwork in the Waterfront office it means you can avail of the "Express" Q when you get to the departure lounge at the airport.
Signal Hill If your unlucky enough to visit when Table Mountain is closed due to high winds, drive up to Signal Hill as you get fantastic views over Cape Town and the beaches.
