Loved this hotel. Perfect location for me. Close to the beach and also town and resturants. Staff was super friendly and helpful. And the hotel is very clean and beautiful. The real selling point is that this room is much cheaper and the same niceness as the really nice hotels such as the Radisson and the hotels around the waterfront...whose rooms are 3 times as much money and worse locations.
Excellent choice for a vacation

This hotel suited our needs perfectly. It is only a 15 minute taxi ride (ZAR 70) from the major hotspots in Cape Town, has a nice pool area, very nice staff and so on. Someone else mentioned the breakfast buffet, and I agree that it was great. I can really recommend this hotel if you want to mix pool-side with sight-seeing
Wonderful

We had very little choice when it came to choosing a hotel as we had left things to the last minute.
So this was a real gamble. In my line of work I get to stay in 4 and 5 star hotels as often 2-4 times a month, therefore I suppose I am used to a certain level of standard.
This hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfast buffet was huge with choices to suit everyone and then some!
We had only one meal in the hotel, the seafood buffet. This I may add was during a power cut (the whole town was out) and the meal was served by candlelight. The staff were not fazed by this at all and made the atmosphere wonderful.
As the hotel was fully booked we could not upgrade our room from a standard room. The room was large and very comfortable and we had everything we needed. (You don't need to spend much time in your room in Cape Town!)
Check in time is 2 pm, however after landing at 6:30 am and getting to the hotel around 8:30 am we were over the moon to be told our rooms were ready for us, and that was even without having asked for an early check in.
I definitely recommend this hotel. It is in a prime location (Sea Point) the hotel atmosphere in welcoming, relaxed and non-pretentious.

Staff needs a lot of training. You cannot mix conferences and people on holiday together practically in dining room by time you collect your meal it is cold

Book Early for a cab to V&A Unless you have your own car you will need a cab in the evenings. Book this early as they get very busy.
Winter visits Prepare for some wet & windy days. Take waterproof clothing & be prepared! Excellent whale watching however.
Location I really think you need car to stay here - taxis are not overly cheap in relation to everything else in Sotuth Africa
