Honeymoon in Cape Town
Stayed for 4 nights in early December 2005 for the beginning of my honeymoon. Was a little wary before arriving of safety aspects etc. Absolutely no need to have worried. The service of the hotel was impeccable, - the food is excellent (esp.: ostrich fillet with a bottle of Alto). Very very reasonably priced. Breakfast - very good choice - lady there to cook eggs to your liking etc etc. We hired a car (all organised via hotel - they came to us!) hotel staff washed and parked it for us everyday! They booked our restaurants for us and when we asked their recommendations - they were excellent. Overall - an excellent hotel. Safety wise - I had no issues as taxi rank right by hotel and they are very very cheap. Would definitely return.

The best
Stayed for 5 nights in 2002. The hotel is in a fabulous location and convenient for so much. Staff very bright and helpful. Breakfast good. Overall cost was very reasonable. They even parked our car for us!

Won a free night
My wife and I stayed at the Park Inn for one night after she won a free night at a company function. Despite being quite an old building (lifts and windows are dated) it looked good inside, and even though it's on the edge of the busy Green Market Square the noise doesn't even come close to disturbing you in the room. The pool deck on the top floor was stunning but the weather was too cold to actually use it. The gym room next door to the pool decent and clean although a little on the small side.
Only problem is the breakfast selection at the buffet was very small and not nearly up to the standard of other hotels I’ve been too. But there are plenty of good restaurants just across the square, so don't worry too much.
