We had booked to stay at this hotel for 3 nights as it has a wonderful internet site showing it to have lots of facilities such as swimming pool, sunbathing area, three restaurants, deli, chocolate shop, wine boutique etc. but when we arrived none of them existed as the builders were working there. We checked out after staying there 1 night - the manager kindly arranged a lovely hotel hotel at Somerset West for us but we could have saved a lot of hassle had we just been informed all all this work and given the chance to cancel our booking and go somewhere else. Somerton Hotal was lovely but the area was not one we would have chosen to stay at as we wanted to be in the wine region. They did not even have a residents lounge for us. |
