One horse town Windhoek, although the capital of Namibia - is a one horse town (and sadly - the horse died). As long as you are prepared to be overwhelmed by the lack of population in Windhoek you may wonder where all the people are! I'd been an expat in Jo'burg for 3 years by the time i went there ... it's quaint but on international standards - a bit of a yawn - unless of course you're travelling in a group (i.e. have your own entertainment) and drink a lot (i.e. provide your own entertainment). Don't DWELL in Windhoek - get where you need to go ASAP or stay in the Olive Grove BnB - now THERE's a quality place to hang out. IF it's in the budget.
