Well worth a visit and being renovated too. Nice restuarant and bar. Some rooms tidy, and clean, but expect it to be top notch when renovation is complete.

Top Local Tips for Tangier

entertainment Ask the bartender where the good night spots are, ours took us to 3 clubs and found us a fantastic shwarma place.. Fantastic.

Taxi from the ferry terminal If you're coming to the Rembrandt (or anywhere close) you should get a Petit Taxi (little and blue, if I remember correctly). They're next to the Grand Taxis (old white Mercedes) at the ferry port. They should use their meter, and it'll be less than 10Dh. If they won't use their meter, negotiate for 10Dh....

Overnight visit to Tangiers Was last in Morocco 36 years ago-took an overnight trip to see if it had improved.It is still a 3rd world place. It is quite dirty and is full of crazy traffic. The ferries only accept euros but they are excellent.Was very disappointed with Tangiers-do not intend to return!
