Well worth the visit! After Youssef Dahri took over as village chief- Pure joy! We visited Bali club med in Sept.2006 where Youssef was chief and enjoyed it so much we booked club med Cherating in november 2006.This was a complete let down, as the village chief was on vacation. We did not enjoy Cherating at all. Lacked atmosphere. We as guests were 'nt made to feel important at all.
We decided to give Club Med one more go, and booked AGADIR. As luck would have it, the Chief from Bali was transferred to Agadir and we had a wonderful Club Med experience again. All guests are made to feel like VIP's. The food was good, though not as great as in Bali. The hotel and location excellent. The Chief (Youssef) also went out of his way to speak to us in english and translate the goings on, in this french domain. We as South Africans were made to feel extra welcome as we do share the same Continent.
Most of all the Chief of the Village and his Go's makes the differance!

Together with my daughter (8 years old) we spent a week (end of October 2006) in Club Med Agadir. For me the first experience with Club Med and I must say, not the last one ...
Food & beverage ok: enough to choose with variety.
Activities: You could spend the whole day with sports, beach life etc.
During the evening enough entertainment.
I did not like this that much, but this is my personal opinion
People: friendly, but a little bit too much French orientated (but Marocco is French speaking en CM a French organization).

Pro: nice location, nice staff, great suite.
Con: even the transport from airport was included in packed no one waiting on arrive and never say sorry for that, food for all week was the same (decoration different) and poor variety (plus my wife had a serious stomach problem), the only served wine was Marrocan (below if you are not the first on the table you have a great chance to eat on dirty table or have a limited choice, almost no one speak English or only few words, the standard room are poor quality, we had a 3rd degree contact with rat on the way to dinner, to get a reservation for Moroccan restaurant you have to stay in line (we were misinformed few time when the line is starting), after I said to manager that I don't accept that kind of service he answered me that if I don't accept it he do not respect you (!!!), we had asked to pick up our baggage on the and no one came and no one offered to help even we meet few people from the stuff on our way to reception, the transport to the airport was also a problem as they 'didn't know that it was paid' and so on.
If you are French or you speak French maybe it a right place for you, if not, WE WARNED YOU
