Top Local Tips for Nairobi
Do your home work before going Learn about the types of wlldlife you are going to see. Have extra camera batteries, film, memory cards. You will be amazed at how quick the numbers of pictures add up. Keep your eyes open wide the action is sometimes fast. Take along plenty of bottled water. May is a great time of year to visit. It is not too terribly hot yet. There is occasional rain (but not all day). The best reason is that there are not a lot of tourists to haras and bother the animals so everyone (human and beast alike) are relaxed and in good moods.
A must see All of the parks are different in terms of wildlife, scenery, terrain and even culture. The Massai Mara has it all, but the other parks also should be seen, since there are special features in each of them. We recommend that you use a recommended local Kenyan Operator (the local driver/guides are most experiences) and that you arrangw a "private safari" where you (one, two, three of four) have your own vehicle and therefore flexibility in your game drive times, stops and destinations. No conflicts wiuth other visitors or crowded vehicles.
