Just so you know The Hilton is at the CBD and is very convinient since you do not need to take a cab to move from one place to another
Rip-off taxis Be careful as many cabs are unofficial. it is worth paying the extra to get a hotel car. However, agree a price in advance as a cab recommended to me by an airport policeman overcharged me seriously!
prices for taxi trips if you want to see what nairobi can offer, probably the best choice is to arrange a taxi for the entire day. i can say that if you contract with the taxi driver you can pay about 3500 - 3000 ksh for the day and go eveywhere in the city. for example i payed 3500 ksh for this trip 1) david sheldrick wildlife conservance; 2) giraffe center; 3) carnivore; 4) village market; 5) restaurant; 6) hotel. from 10:00 am to 9:30 p.m. the trip from the airport must be 1200 ksh, to the city center to airport can be 1000 ksh. pay attantion to the driver you choose.
