Fascinating area and very nice locals (berbers). BUT, be aware that this location is an oasis and thus a haven to mosqitoes even in April when we visited. You will need at the very least anti 'mozzy' plug-in's for your room, mosquito repelent for your body and a mosquito aerosol spray for your room. Cover up in the evenings ie. trousers and long sleeves when sitting outside. If you don't you could (and probably will) end up badly bitten. Also, if you like an alcoholic beverage of some kind you will not find any for hundreds of miles around, so take some with you or just drink the local non-alcoholic beer called 'BIRREL'.

Nice small bungalows with fantastic spring. Very nice sercice and good location. Clean, good food and very helpful staff. As everything in Egypt its very reasonably priced.
