Fab. holiday but not suitable for children.

My husband and I have just spent 2 weeks at this hotel, excellent. Few problems on arrival with reception staff who would not arrange for us to be fed when we arrived very late, in fact the reception staff on the whole were surley for the entire holiday, but the rest of the staff couldn't do enough to help. Food on the whole was good with lots of variety unfortunately they had problems keeping it hot which was a bit scarey. The resort is not suitable for children, there's no sandy beach or shallow sea water, the childrens pool and the large swimming pool were very cold so everyone was crowding into the heated pool.
Sharks Bay is only a 15 min walk away and excellent for snorkeling in shallow water and watching the boats coming and going. The animation team tried very hard although somewhat amateurish in their 'show time' but were very friendly to all nationalities. Some parts of the hotel are becoming a little tired i.e. wardrobe doors fall off, side patio doors don't close properly but on the whole are very clean and gardens are imaculate.

We have just returned from the above hotel, The hotel was okay, the food was great if you like the med type of diet personally it was fine. The location has a lot to be desire regarding night life ( none ) the entertainment team did their best. Do not buy anything in the hotel it is robbery. Take the short walk around to Sharks Bay, and snorkel untill your hearts content it is fantastic. There is a complete lack of really local info available I found out to late to make the best ot area. I will be going back later on in the year.

we have 2 children age 3 and 5 and this holiday was booked bearing their needs in mind.i booked a hotel "on the beach" and with a "childrens playground" and "ideal for families". there was no playground and the beach was completely unsuitable for young chiildren given its gravel nature, 15 foot drops between the tiers and 15 foot drop into the sea.total brochure mis representation. we also found the majority of the staff unfriendly and unhelpful. I couldnt wait to get home...........

6 adults spent two weeks at this hotel. food at restaurant was good plenty of choice. fish/oriental&italian also good and the waiters were ecellent.poolside staff were very helpful don,t bother taking beach towels one provided daily.one gipe the entertainment room was out of charectar with the rest of the hotel not air conditioned and plastic chairs all facing forward ,with the group playing at the side to no one.the snorkelling was absolutely brilliant probably the best anywhere.all areas of hotel &rooms kept spotlessly clean.not the best vodka in the world but o/k with tonic beer good& cold we will return in the future

Just spent the best week of our holiday lives in this fab hotel. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were spacious and clean. The food was great, belive me i am avery fussy eater but had no problems in this hotel. Snorkeling is a must do. I cannot rate it highly enough. Weve only been home 2 days and ive already booked to go back in October. The only bad point is the entertainment which was quite limited but we managed to make our own.

Great holiday - shame about the bad Reviews it gets.

Just Retured from a fab week, we were really worried as all we had read were bad reviews, found the staff to be very helpful, friendly and co-operative, rooms to be comfortable, all meals to be very acceptable other than the fact that you have to queue for toast (busy times it takes between 10-15 mins) The local beer and spirts do infact not taste as we are used to, although has a very high alcohol percentage, and after 3 glasses you don't notice, to give you a honest view of bad points which really are not to mayjor but you should be aware of whilst booking are : The sand infact is not sand and is infact gravel and cannot be walk on, the entertainment is minimal and caters for mainly italian and russians, and lastly,the snack bar is very minimal with, sausages, pizza and meatballs on the menu everyday + salad and bread , but we really enjoyed our time there, and will return.

I've just got back from spending a week in Egypt and it was fantastic. It was my first visit to Egypt and i'm already planning on going again. The hotel was out of this world, They have everythin in here you could want. The food was lovely and they had plenty of choice with somethin different every day. The staff are very friendly and are willing to help you with everythin. I recommend this hotel for families and couples or even people in big groups. The pool area is very big with plenty going on. Excellent holiday had by myself and my boyfriend. I really didn't want to come home.

just come back from two great weeks at this hotel ,after reading some of the reviews we had our worries but when we got there we were very pleased,the hotel is very clean,the food was great you would have to be a fussy person not find something to eat.the staff cant do enough to help you ,we will be going their next year .

Just returned this am. After the most relaxing week ever! The weather was hot and sunny. Do not leave your snorkling equipment behind! you will regret it. The fish are clearly visable from the platform, but better to go in and get closer.

The hotel and staff were both good. The food was fine, with plenty of choice.

Buy your own whiskly at the duty free, the local one is yuk. Take a kettle regardelss of what your brochure tells you - there are none in the rooms.

Don't waste weight limit on a large beach towel, the hotel provides them!

just back last night. excellent holiday, nice and relaxing. most people over the moon.
this place is spotless. rooms,pool, beach, bar and dining areas. staff courteous and polite. so be the same back. dont snap your fingers as we some people doing. its rude and ignorant.
food choice is good and plentyfull. sometimes a bit bland for my liking. must do is the oreintal, you look at the menu, this is what you get. mammia mia is ok. never done the fish.
bar staff are good fun " cheers big ears" , "cassius clay" if youve been you will know.tip the staff ??????3-4 for the bar staff a day. a weeks wage for 1 person.your glass will never be empyt.
tip the room cleaners ??????1 a day. big tip 2nd last day.
only seen entertainment one night ok.
we heard complaints about food, rooms etc. (from people who wore the same clothes everyday) lol. some peole would only be happy with a personal servant.
go there have fun.
learn a few words like please, thank you, hello. its not difficult.

Top Local Tips for Sharm El Sheikh

out and about It is worth checking out the holiday reps tours, depending on your time there and the expensive I would suggest not going on the Cario, Petra trips, they is a lot to see, its a very long day and you dont get to see a quarter off it, go back on another holiday especially for that. Quad biking is a great adventure for the thrill seekers you can do half days and see the Bedouins or a full day and include a BBQ, their is a stars and dinner trip which takes you back into the heart of the desert to the Bedouins where you can see the nights sky through powerfull telescopes, just make sre you have correct insurance cover incase your quad breaks down and your partner gets 8 quad bikes into the back of him or something. you have a hotel bus system just book at customer relations 24 hours in advance to save dissapointment. From tropicana Grand Oasis the bus goes to Rossetta hotel and its a 10 minute walk to the right down to Naamma Bay which is on your left this is a tourest hot spot.

Red sea fish Do try the snorkeling / scuba diving from the hotel and go into Narma Bay on the free shuttle bus for the trip on the glass bottomed boat - all fantastic.

Disabled persons I would not recommend this hotels if any of you party has a physical impairment that restricted their ability to climb stairs etc.
