The staff are helpful, cheerful and friendly. The rooms are very well cleaned and the food is very nice. They have diffrent themed nights such as english nights, egyptian nights, italian ETC: So the food is from that specific country. The Real Animation team (holiday reps) provide entertainment throughout the day , From darts and water volleyball, To Aqua arobics and yoga stretching! There is a kids club were young children can meet new friends, play and watch dvds while you are relaxing, And from 9pm there is a mini disco then at 10 the real animation team provide a spectacular show for you.The games room is fun and well equipted and you can also use the internet. It is amazing and i will defenitly be going again.

We spent a wonderful fortnight at the Sol y Mar in February 2008 and decided on a last minute holiday this year and were offered two weeks at the Sol y Mar again. No hesitation in booking. The staff were just as friendly, and several even remembered us which made us feel very much at home. The room was great, overlooking the big pool, very clean and spacious. Only comment here would be that a soap dish in the shower cubicle would be extremely useful. The food was fine, although a little repetitive, but there is plenty of choice and you would be hard pressed not to find something that you could eat. The animation team work very hard to entertain the guests and must be given 10 out of 10 for effort. At our age we are past playing water volley ball, etc., but they never gave up asking us to join in and were great fun. I wish I could say the same for the supposed "singing duo" who play during the evenings in the lobby/reception area. Both of them cannot sing (I think they are tone deaf), their attempts are far too loud, you cannot possibly hold a conversation during their performance (if you can call it that) and why they have a toddler in a pushchair with them at that time of night baffles me - mind you when he starts to cry it is more melodic that the parents singing! That's our only moan about the time spent at the Sol y Mar - go there for a nice rest with beautiful weather and really wonderful people to wait on you. I sincerely hope we shall be able to return again.

I visited for 1 week in May 2008 with my Mum as a last minute booking. We read reviews on various sites AFTER we booked and were worried what to expect. On arrival we were treated with nothing but respect and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The food was fantastic with a huge choice to suite all tastes and nationalities (unless you're a small minded 'Brit Abroad' who likes egg n chips and goes to English pubs to watch Only Fools and Horses during your typical stay in 'Benidorm' in which case I'd say STAY AWAY and book for Benidorm instead. The taxi drivers are honest and punctual, the beaches are great.Shopping at the bazzars is a geat experience. I'm going again in April 2009 with my boyfriend and can't wait.

Stayed for one week at this hotel. After reading some reviews on other sights we were not sure, but wow it was amazing. We had a 2 bed room by the smaller pool (which it never seems to show )staff amazing helpful and friendly if they come to offer you a service and you say no they leave you alone BUT I WOULD RECOMEND A MASSAGE. Food was good for all inclusive. We walked to the reef beach 5 mins away and boy was is worth it to see all the different coloured fish . We would recommend the hotel and are going back in Feb 09 for a week.

Fantastic hotel, Fantastic area, Food a little repetitive if you are all inclusive, but the restaurants are so cheap to eat out. We only used the hotel for breakfast/ dinner and all day drinks in the pool. My partner is booking for us for next month. So much to do in so little time. Best holiday I've ever had. Oh and I proposed and she say "yes"..............

I went on this holiday with my daughter for one week. For me it was like my second home place. The location is fantastic like a paradise. The rooms are beatiful and comfortable. Food was great and tasty. There is a large amount of Dirnks. The staff is GREAT and friendly. As I was disappointed with my room, they give me a better room in 2 minutes. Even one time I forgot my money at my room. As soon as possible, the cleaners found it and gave it back to me. I'll come back in December. Thanks for this Great hotel.

Rooms are so clean, stayed in a villa, was top quality, I've been to the Sol y Mar Sharming in now 3 times in 4 months. Absolute love it. Everything is so cheap, the location is beautiful this is sheer paradise. The beaches are relaxing, Nama Bay is good for shopping, eating, clubbing, best clubbing spots are Pacha, little Budah, black house etc. and most of all the people are so friendly can’t do enough for you. The weather is so hot it was 41 degrees. The worst thing of all is I’m back home.

I went on this holiday with my dad (36) grandad (55) three teenagers for two weeks. we loved it and we are going back in october. The weather was amazing. It was very hot, maybe not suitable for older adults like me grandad. He thought the holiday was good, but the weather was a bit too hot for him. For us and my dad, we loved every minute of it. The weather was gorgeous! All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless. It was beautifully done up and the hotel rooms were lovely! The rooms weren't hot at night because of the air condition and you had a lovely sleep. The beds was very comfortable! There were no mosquitoes in the rooms, so that wasn't a problem. The food was great! It is better going all inclusive because you are allowed to have a drink whenever ou like. And believe me you will be needing one all the time! The only problem we had was the phone box. We couldn't find it for 2 days. It's about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The pool entertainment was great! It was good for people of all ages. It got people together. We made loads of friends there!!

Nice hotel. Rooms very good and roomy. Food ok but gets repetitive after a while (especially if you are all inclusive). Can walk to public beach and pay to get on but not a proper sandy beach and you can only get into the sea from a pontoon (sharp drop into deep water). Same for hotel beach on free bus. Had to go through a building site and walk down a gravelly path to same sort of beach. We got a taxi to Shark's Bay (other side of Sharm) to go snorkelling and better sandy beach. Air a bit smelly round hotel (sewagey) and building noise going on around (but there's lots of building all over Sharm). Rooms kept very clean every day. Free drinks on all-inclusive quite good (for local beer, wine, etc.). Not bad but disappointed by beaches if you want sand and snorkelling.
