Walking distance to Old Marked, and the pool area are the highlights. Rooms are definately worn, sheets where not clean and floors where not cleaned. AC had been removed, toilet fan not installed, plumbing not working, but room was a decent size and had tv and fridge. Breakfast omlette very greasy, nescafe only was lukewarm, soft drink selection very limited. Most of the items on the menu where not available, only chicken and sandwich and they where not interesting. Definately recommend the 15 minute walk (taxi 5 egp) to Old Marked for good (great) meals. Staff where friendly, but only spoke few words in english. Dive center was a bit pricy compared to other places. With a little effort it could be a real nice place.
Horrible - glad to get home

Top Local Tips for Sharm El Sheikh

Avoid if less mobile!! I went on this holiday with my mum whom is in a wheel chair alot of the time, i was warned by our rep from thomas cook to avoid the blue mercedes taxis as the owners drive like maniacs, this is true too! We always used the hotel taxis as they were safer and would help with the wheelchair. I would not advise using the blue taxis unless you have your wits about you! ONE FINAL TIP Agree a price for the trip before you go, haggle, threaten to get another cab, most will come down by quite a bit if you have the time that is! You can get them for very low amounts, you just have to ask.

Haggling in the shops really go in low with your first price for anything...even if it is already priced up... if you start high they will get you the end of the day you just pay what you think a product is worth...the best way to get your price is to start walking out of the shop... the shopkeeper soon bows to your pressure... make sure you have a laugh whilst doing it as they like this and you may get a better price( they dont like russian people as they get only low prices from them and they are rude as well)
