been to oonas every year for past 5 years and have been safe everytime. there is nothing this club wont do to accomodate your programme unless you want to dive on mars. caters for large groups and we come back year after year because we are so looked after by corrie nick and the crazy gang

Have dived with oonas 12 times now, the last few staying at the dive club. It is exactly that a club atmosphere with the guides giving a personal service and getting to know the guests, laid back atmosphere. Not the cheapest but no where near the most expensive.

well what can I say about this hotel the rooms are good size and the bathroom is too the room have air con which it great and very effective nice and cold the room get cleaned every day and the staff that's without saying they will do anything for you, and the diving school there is the best I have ever been to the staff are down to earth and great fun well I liked them as I have now been back there three times and booked up again can't fault it one bit.

An enjoyable holiday for scuba diving

I was part of a party of four adults that shared one of the suites at Oonas Dive Club. All of the members of our group were at Sharm to go scuba diving hence they spent the majority of their days out on the dive boats operated by Oonas. The facilities were very clean and fulfilled all of the needs of the group. I had stayed at the Sonesta Beach hotel next door on a previous occasion and found the suite at Oonas to be every bit as enjoyable.
There is a roof-top bar at Oonas which stays open all night but which is not noisy for guests staying in rooms below. The bar/restaurant at Oonas is also functional and very reasonably priced. Staff are very courteous and polite.
The focus is very much on guests feeling that they have ‘joined in' with a group of friends that enjoy scuba diving. I have a disability which prevents me from scuba diving and snorkelled instead. The dive crews were exceptionally kind and keen to assist. They enable me to enjoy the astonishing sights of the Red Sea's beautiful coral reefs.
I would say that Oonas is not suited to guests with young children. One family staying at the hotel consisted of kids ranging from 15 to 18 years old. They all learned to dive with Oonas during their stay and appeared to enjoy their time. I'd say that children much younger than this would find it difficult.
There is no swimming pool at Oonas but it is literally next door to the beach. The temperature (at the hotel) reached 49 Centigrade during our visit – which is why most people remained on dive boats on the open sea in the cool breezes

Top Local Tips for Sharm El Sheikh

choose wisely Go when not too hot as it can reach upwards of 120 in the hot season, best time to travel is between April to June also September to December. March is better if you want to do the historical and cultural trips as the desert can be very hot.Water is warmer May, June, September,but is never chilly the other months just cooler.
