Very helpful service, nice accommodation, great choice of activities. Good place for diving and snorkelling, but we enjoyed our time doing just nothing and didn't get bored. We would like to come back there as soon as possible.

A peaceful well located hotel with fabulous snorkeling and diving. The hotel and services it provides were excellent. We have been here twice in the last four years and will go again.

Top Local Tips for Marsa Alam

FYI Sea shoes coz its rocky, be sure your comfortable with water if youre gonna dive, june was a perfect time to go because it wasnt crowded at all and not too hot, oh and about ten egyptian pounds is the usual tip for cleaning staff (just under one english pound). You can get a better deal on things if you talk to the shop staff and be friendly, even if you have had bad experiences in other places they are all lovely here). Happy holiday :0)

Diving in Marsa Alam In case you are thinking of diving in Marsa Alam, and you own your own diving equipment, it may be a good idea to bring them along. One could rent full equipment at Pioneer Divers for 25 Euro per day, but some of the items appear quite worn out (e.g. "octopus", booties with frayed edges around the zip). We believe they could do with better maintenance, especially of the air tanks. Some of the tanks we got didn't even have "O" rings! (we had to get the rings from our divemaster)
