We were a party of 4 and took a trip to Luxor and the hotel was the Emilio.
I have read the reports and must say this.
The staff at the hotel are very nice. the food is not bad and the hotel is average, at night it can tend to be a little noisy so try and get a room at the back as the cars love to use the horn most of the day and night, the room service was not to bad.
But you do get what you pay for, if people want the five stars then pay the price, but I've found that the service is not as good and complaining in the hotel does not matter either, in the 5 star.

I thought this hotel was not as bad as I had expected, rooms were clean and the cleaning staff were great. Very close to shops, nile and an english resaurant. Also close to luxor temple. Didnt use the pool but looked ok, only ate in the English resaurant down the road. Great hotel and had no problems. Get what you pay for.

we have just come back from the Emilio hotel after spending 6 wonderful nights there, the rooms are spotless as the hotel has just been fully refurbished, breakfast is all you can eat hot and cold buffet, and is right in the centre of everything, their is a hotel rooftop swimming pool on the 7th floor where you can sun yourself all day and the waiters are only too happy to tend to anything you need, from drinks, towels, or a meal, if you are going to book a room ask for one on the 6th floor as their are breathtaking views of the Nile and the valley of the kings to the right, don't miss the sunset going down behind the valley of the kings, from the rooftop pool, its breathtaking and take your camera, if I have to be a little critical, some of the lower rooms dont have a view and back onto the side of other buildings where the sun doesnt get there, and their is an Egyptian disco to the left of the hotel that goes on till about 4am,playing all Egyptian music, but if you have your balcony doors closed and your air conditioning on, after a hard days sightseeing, you will crash out on the bed and not hear a thing, this hotel is worth every penny and the cost that we paid was less than I expected for the 2 of us for 6 nights, go ahead and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of wonderful luxury, you wont regret it.
