We were looking to exchange an RCI time share from Cozumel, Mexico to the Red Sea. Since we were a little late on the uptake, we only had one or two options in the Red Sea. We had seen the bad reviews of the Sindbad Beach Club but were used to traveling cheap and decided to give it a try. We were extremely disappointed with the room and the hotel service. As we were not All Inclusive, we ate breakfast and lunch in our room. It took us 3 days to get 2 plates and when we did, the worker lingered in our room far too long expecting a tip for the belated gift of two plates that he gave us. The staff members seemed helpful at first and offered to help us arrange travel and buy a bottle of alcohol. We found out after the fact that they were attempting to scam us and get as much money out of us as possible. The beach is beautiful and the water is pristine. We went on a snorkel tour which was very pretty but we ended up reporting the snorkel company to a Red Sea Conservation society after they dumped 24 broken glass bottles into the ocean rather than sweeping them up. We also did the Sindbad Submarine tour which is 100% NOT worth it. Aside from the novelty of being in a submarine, you don't see any fish and there is a scuba diver outside the sub feeding the unsightly fish that are there. The rooms of this hotel are anything but luxury. The timeshare that we have in Cozumel made this hotel seem like a 2 star hostel. The red sea is worth visiting but this hotel is probably not the place to go.

Have just returned from an amazing time. Hotel was fantastic, clean, and the room service was brilliant. The only thing we didn't like was the size of the shower unit in the room. It was very small and quite hard to wash without bashing your elbows on the side. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, top marks to all of them. The onsite facilities were 5* and the shops and restaurants were a 1 minute walk away. The trips were excellent - we did the glass bottom boat, submarine (recomended) and my husband even had a go at para sailing. The beach bar is where a lot of people have their lunch. They cater for the all inclusive, as well as a menu for the self catering. They have a fish restaurant on site (just at the end of the pool) with the most amazing, huge prawns. The hotel also offers a towel service for the beach and pool. You will get a card on arival and just hand it in every time you collect a fresh towel. The beach is immaculate and the whole two week stay for us was brilliant. Would love to go back.

I have spent with two friends 2 weeks in the Sindbad Beach Club. The hotel itself was very nice. But our apartment was a nightmare and the cleaning service deplorable. I had to ask for cleaning and to get towels for 3 persons. They always put only for two. The "kitchen" consisted of a very old cooking plate with dangerous nude electric wires to the plug, located just besides the sink. One small cupboard underneath and an old fridge under the cooking plate ! There were no plates, glasses, cups, or cuttlery not even a kettle to heat water ! No wardrobe in the bedroom and just a small closet in the living room. Not enough for two people, not to think about 4 ! The shower was so small that a normal sized man , couldn't take a shower without leaving half of his body outside. No table in the bathroom to put a toiletry kit and no hangers. There was neither a terace nor a balcony. It was the worst flat I have ever seen during my stays at the Red Sea.

Resort great pool and beach accommodation very basic

I loved the place but the rooms were awfull!! Tatty old fridge just a sink and 2 hotplates no microwave no cupboards. No room to prepare food. Old shower cubicle cheap furniture and hard pillows!!!! AND NO BALCONY!!! I was annoyed that rci were exchanging this for my lovely room in spain BUT after a few days we got used to it and got on with our holiday ! The resort was fine with a good pool and beach. Entertainment was good and we felt special being the only english in the complex!!!!! The staff were very helpful. We ate out every night and it was CHEAP!!!All in all it was a good sunbathing holiday.
