Butlins at its worst!!!!!

The weather was the only good thing about this resort. It resembles a tired, run down holiday camp and everything is in German, including the entertainment. The apartment did not contain any comfortable seating and the second bedroom doubled as a dining room. The kitchen contained a rusty old 2 ring hob and empty cupboards. I had to request crockery and cutlery. The bathroom smelled of drains. The beach was the only place to escape the music that played all day. Avoid this place at all costs.

Not Entirely Bad!

I agree it wasn't the absolute best I've stayed at (only limited experiences though). However, the staff were very friendly and compensated for the less than wonderful state of the resort. The buildings, although clean, were in disrepair. However, we enjoyed the stay - great weather at least - beach was wonderful! Food wasn't as bad as some of the reviews say - don't understand the comments concerning it being lukewarm and tasteless. I enjoyed the buffets. Again, not the very best but not bad. The only thing that made the eating experience rough was fighting off the elbows, pushes, and shoves of the Russians who behaved like every meal was their last. Is rudeness a matter of national pride there?

50's holiday camp

Basic accommodation, no sitting room, tv in main bedroom with only bed to sit on. dining table in 2nd bedroom. Not suitable for families, pool too cold, paving broken & dangerous. Main restaurant self service and like a holiday camp, food in fish & pizza restaurant was good until found an opened staple in pizza. Taxis needed everywhere because of distance from Hurghada. Visitors mainly Russian on cheap holiday. Beach & Garden areas were well maintained

Having read another report we tried to cancel this accomodation. We are glad we didn't. Although the accommodation is not as plush as some hotels in the area, it is basic, clean and tidy. As it says in an Arabic design. Crockery is not provided on arrival, but ask and they are happy to ablige you with it. All staff are friendy and restaurants good-if you don't mind buffets and fighting against the Russians!.My favorite was the Pizza fish bar by the beach where they BBQ. There was a large pool- a little cold this time of year, but it didn't stop my children playing in it.

Not a lot better!

Arrived at self catering apartment to find a completely empty kitchen. Utensils and crockery arrived 30 minutes after we did - without kettle! No plugs in sink or bathroom wash basin (I think this is standard throughout Egypt?). Food in main restaurant poor - hot food was lukewarm at best and all food was totally tasteless. Staff showed obvious lack of training. Buildings showed lack of maintenance. At least the monkeys have now gone. All in all thank God for the Red Sea and Luxor! It was a long week.
