Taxi bargain Before getting into a taxi, be sure you and the driver speak "the same language". Clear up: where you go, how many people you are, how much you pay and which currency!
Beware Price & Harrassing shoppkeppers and vendors Always get firm price for taxi service before getting in,otherwise you get in and away you go,then you are at their mercy. Same with shopping,negotiate your price not theirs,everything starts way to high and they know it. If you dont like them hasseling you ,you just have to walk away.They will probably grab your arm and try to steer you to their store and keep bothering you.My experience was with a few shop keepers who would do this and would not take a no for an answer ,SOOO all you have to do is yell for the tourist police,(in all white uniform )or get his attention and call him over and the harasser will stop bothering you.If he dosent the tourist police will stop him from bothering you.
Barter If you are tempted to buy goods from the street vendors, never, ever pay the first price they ask for. Be prepared to barter extensively.
