I like staying at this hotel. We had very good placed rooms about 50 metres far away from the main restaurant Agrabah and only one minute of walking to the reception. At the reception the safe boxes are free and there are also computers with internet connection (15 min= 15 L.E., quite expensive but when you need something you have no other choice). There is also lobby bar with drinks from 9:00 a.m to 0:30 a.m. and also some bar or pub where I have never been. There is also doctor. The equipment of the rooms was OK -fridge, hair drier, telephone, TV with lots of programmes from whole the world, curtains, shower & bath, air-conditioned..U can have cold water only from the fridge ( with all inclusive it is free, everyday you have some bottles of water)because water tubes are probably underground and then water is warmed up. Rooms should be cleaned everyday but cleaner may ask you whether he should clean it or not. If you say yes, he must do it. Of course, everybody wants some tip, cleaner, waiter, man who carry your luggage..Simply everybody without exception, but it is optional. The food in the restaurant is delicious, u have lots of choices starting with rice and ending with lama meat. There is a lot of vegetable and some fruit, cakes are commonplace. The staff is usually great, but if you come when finishing, they are sometimes not very friendly. Be careful about offering drinks - fanta, sprite, tang, beer, spirits etc. are free (if all inclusive) but you have to pay for fresh juices anyway. You have clean towel everyday on the beach . The slope is gentle, you can find stones, but also sand there. One, not very pleasant situation had happen when an oil was at the sea and it smelt. On the beach you can play volleyball every day (I love it :)and there is also bar where you can have a drink until 5 p.m. and also lunch (chips with something) from 1pm to 4.30 pm. The beaches and swimming pools are closed at 6.00 pm, but you can stand there longer (Jasmina beach). All inclusive is valid in the other two hotels, Jasmina 3* and Alibaba 5*. You can also have a breakfast, a lunch and also a dinner in one of these hotels but you have to say it on the reception. Then they give you a special card for entering. In the hotels there are mainly people from Russia, then Poland, Germany, Czech rep., Switzerland, and SLOVAKIAA (me :) Almost every member of staff speaks English, the most of them speaks Russian and some of them also German ( I did not try other languages). Entertainment - very good. The animation team is great. U can play water polo, volleyball, darts... In the evening a program is near the lobby bar, at 9:45pm also in amphiteater (it's the best)- every evening some different program. At the end there are always two or three songs and everybody dance (group dancing with animation team, they are great but their boss, MOMO, is the best :) then fun continues at the Gene discotheque till 0:30 am (I think).Comparing to the program in Aibaba and Jasmina it's great because there is boring program or none. Simply said - Aladdin is very good hotel. But probably now you are asking why I gave only 9 out of 10 - the answer is that everybody wants some tip and everybody loves me :D and it is not very pleasant when you have to hear from waiters on the beach everyday :D

3 of us went here after doing a Nile Cruise. This hotel is tops!
The rooms very spacious, clean and planty of wardrobe space (3women!) the fridge was filled with fresh water daily, beds, towles changed daily. The hotel grounds are beatiful, and the location is on the beach.
The food was lovely, how anyone can call it vile is beyond me! great choice wonderful desserts. However, I have been to Egypt before and I do know that some people get "the bug" fortunately I never have, but why do people always blame the food!!! The Egyptian chemists sell a drug called antenol, clears it up in no time.
The staff in this hotel are excellent, very, very friendly and helpful.
The only thing that may put people off is that Hurghada is a predominantly Russian resort, so there are not a great deal of Brits, but, the Russians were quite entertaining and as there were 3 of us plus some more guests who had been on the boat with us we didnt find a problem.
I have booked just yesterday to go to this hotel again next April and I can't wait.

Vile!!

Well, where to start with this hotel!!!...the food was absolutely disgusting...no exaggeration! I ended up with a bowel infection from the food so a starved for the week, whilst in bed with this bug. The staff treated us like something they have stood in. You were ignored and although all inclusive, the staff wouldn't serve you free drinks unless you gave them a tip. The normal tasting food was extra. In the massage/health club I was assaulted by the men. I asked for a female masseuse but half way through when my eyes were closed they swapped so I had a male, my boyfriends eyes were covered with a towel whilst they touched me inappropriately and they stunk. All the men were vile, like dogs on heat. The staff all smelt unclean which makes me wonder how hygienic the food preparation was, hence me getting a severe infection. The hotel surrounds were ok but the food was not edible to my dog. I am quite an easy going person who is easily pleased so it shows how vile the food is. The Egyptian people rip you off consistently so you must stand your ground. We paid £150 Egyptian pounds (£!5) from the airport for them to then ask for more on arrival. We then found out another couple paid only £50 Egyptian pounds (£5). So do not pay more than £50 Egyptian pounds from the airport. Anymore and your being ripped off. If they offer you a price, they are tripling the actual rate you should pay. If you like being harassed consistently, being ogled and touched inappropriately, like eating stale food which makes you so ill you cannot walk and like staff which treat you like dirt then this hotel is for you. No wonder there are 30 English and 300 Russians on average. No English put up with it. Russians get reduced priced on everything and are worse than the Egyptians for manners. They are vile creatures and I hope never to meet one again. I would never ever go to Egypt or stay in this hotel again. Disgraceful, unprofessional and vile!!

Great Holiday Resort

After reading unfavourable reviews of the hotel we were pleasantly surprised at the good and friendly service on offer. The food was excellent but do not expect a full English breakfast! Select a suitable place in the dining room (in our case non-smoking) tip the captain on the first day and away you go. Our room had a shower with plentiful hot water and 2 very comfortable three quarter beds. Tip attendant on first day and he looks after you well with plenty of bottled water in the fridge and he may decorate your bed! Service for drinks and food was excellent, we used the dining room for breakfast and evening meal and the beach bar during the day. Tip the beach attendant and get towels/cushions/chair brought to your selected spot with a smile every day. The two sister hotels could be used for all amenities and the Ali Baba Palace next door had a heated pool but collect your lunch early whilst it is hot. There is some touting on the beach but we had an excellent trip on a glass bottomed boat and a full massage/facial for £20 each in the Ali Baba - remember to haggle. We went for a beach holiday only and can thoroughly recommend the Aladdin and will return in the future.

Top Local Tips for Hurghada

Taxi services. When you finally get through passport control and through arrivals section, don't let one of the white cab drivers try to persuade you to go with them. They tend to try and rip you off and they prefer English money. Look for an independent taxi firm that offer nice clean transportationand always get the price off them prior to getting in the cab.

Insurance Make sure you get some!

The hotel is well out of Hurghada Agree the price of taxi BEFORE you go, howver we found them cheap and ours was reliable, picking us back up as we arranged and we paid him for the whole trip when we arrived back at the hotel
