Great Service, Staff & Food

Before going to Panorama Bungalows I had checked the place on the internet, and that's why I was terrified to approach the food from what I read and read about how awful it was. So I prepared myself and took some snacks with me to avoid the food there. BUT, it was completely the opposite, the food was very good, very clean, very tasty and very fresh, it ended up that we didn't approach the stuff we took with us and enjoyed every meal we ate there. It was great in every thing, the view, the staff, the food and the service. We enjoyed staying there very much and we wish to go back on the next vacation. We had a very pleasant time.

We went here reluctantly after we read others reviews but am I glad we chose to go anyway. This hotel is great! We ate out everyday as the reviews said food was awful but decided to try the food in our second week as people around the pool were saying it was good and they were right it was lovely. The staff are really friendly rooms spotlessly clean. Please ignore bad reviews and go stay there as we are booked up to go back in Sept.El gouna is georgeous and don't forget to visit Boxers Bar in Tamr Henna Square Downtown. Its a 5 min walk from hotel. Andy and Janice are the owners and Skuda is the egyptian waiter they make you so welcome and are so funny and really made our holiday. If you have room in your luggage they would appreciate some colmans mustard and dog chews for their boxer dog Cleo. Tell them Jane and Ade will see them again Sept and to put the Baileys on ice.

Great resort, but unfortunately, the hotel does not live up to its potential or promise. The food, in my opinion, was dreadful and the standards of hygiene appalling. How anyone could rate this place as '10' is beyond me and I do not consider myself hard to please. My wife, in common with numerous other guests, suffered with a serious stomach upset while we were there, which effectively sidelined her for 3 days of the holiday. Afer this, for the most part, we avoided eating in the hotel as much as possible and, fortunately, El Gouna is blessed with some top quality restaurants. The plastic cups at the pool bar are not washed properly - merely rinsed under a running cold tap and left to dry. Some of the cups given out to guests with drinks in them had lipstick marks on them or the remains of strong smelling drinks (like Ouzo) in them. The general standard of the accommodation is poor - chipped and damaged tiles, filthy toilet brushes, grimy light switches, rotten and damaged woodwork, ill-fitting doors etc. The safe provided in the room was not secured properly to the wall but merely bolted to the wooden shelf in the wardrobe. In the first room I was allocated, the safe could be picked up and taken out of the wardrobe and in the second room, I could lift the safe about 2 inches off the shelf. We were constantly pestered on a daily basis to buy massage or other treatments and if a polite refusal was made, condescending and rude comments followed. Generally, I found the attitude of the staff to be quite offhand and indifferent at times, apart from the guys around the pool - they were top quality and nothing was too much trouble. Because of them, I awarded the hotel an extra rating point to the score I would have otherwise given. Fortunately, this was not my first visit to Egypt, so my experience has not put me off. I have stayed in fantastic all-inclusive hotels in Taba (Raddison and Sea Star) and there is always the Moevenpick next door to the Panorama. Looks superb, so I will return to El Gouna.

The hotel is in a fantastic place it is inside the water. The landscape in the hotel is wonderful. The only problem is that the hotel is away from the beach. But the hotel provides a frequent shuttle boat service to the beach it is every 15 or 20 minutes. The food in the hotel is not bad at all it is very good they provide meat chickens and vegetables every day. Moreover the service there is too nice. the overall the resort is one of the best resorts I went in my life. And I am planning to go their next holiday.

Just arrived home from the panorama bungalows in El Gouna and we were very disappointed with the restaurant. Food was very limited staff around the pool bar area only one working, beach restaurants was closed I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Well, we have literally just returned from the panorama, El Gouna. The view over the pools to the sea from the lobby was out of this world. It was fantastic! Could not fault the hotel at all. Huge grounds and gardens and its right on the beach. Lots to do in daytime. Kite surfing, snorkelling, bike hire, health club, library, squash or just lazing about, like we did! Was 26 deg when we there and Feb meant to be worst month. Food fantastic. Never seen so much choice for breakfast. Great restaurants, especially the Sea Food and Thai. Staff really friendly and could not do enough for you with sincerity, not just out for a tip. Spotlessly clean everywhere. No litter at all and the public toilets immaculate all day. We were lucky enough to have a lagoon pool, sea view. Spectacular. The room was huge. Two queen sized beds and the biggest bathroom ever. The beds were changed at least twice in a week and fresh towels everyday. We had red roses left on our beds on Valentines Day! Shuttle bus to down town and Marina good, regular, cheap but slow and uncomfortable but can also use ticket for the shuttle boat too. We opted for the Tok Toks. A great experience! Mad drivers but only cost £1 and very fast. Hotel has 2 resident camels on the beach, which you can ride. Brilliant experience. All the pools fantastic but main pool unheated and freezing. Lagoon pool was gorgeous. Never a problem to get sun loungers and the fantastic pool staff bring mats to you and beach towels are free to use fresh daily. They even sweep the beaches every evening by hand! Spotless. Only down side was not a lot of entertainment in the evening at the hotel but we were early season and the buffet restaurant caters more for Continentals in the evening but there is still plenty of choice. Movenpick ice cream is to die for! Easy to get to down town or Marina in the evening for a meal by Tok Tok or shuttle bus and they run till late. Recommend Bleu Bleu at the Marina or Kiki's Italian above Casino in Down Town. Two courses for two with wine and coffee about £20! Gets very chilly at night so need cardigan or jacket. Went on trip out to Mahmaya Island. A brilliant day! Saw dolphins. Island had pure white sandy beach. Coral just off the beach where u could see all the colourful fish. Lovely buffet lunch provided. Lovely day. We did not do it ourselves but the Luxor 2-day trip is meant to be amazing from what we heard. Have to be up at 4.30 am for 6-hour trip, stay over night and have hot air balloon ride early next day. Will do it next time. We were not hassled at all by anyone except people hovering outside the toilets at Hurghada airport on our return. They wanted money in exchange for 2 pieces of toilet paper! There were signs to say no tipping. The toilets were filthy but the only dirty ones we saw. There are loads of tacky shops at the airport too where you may be ripped off. All in all, a fantastic holiday. Highly recommend the panorama. We will return!

This was excellent value for money, great location, only minutes from downtown. Only complaint was most of the guests are All Inclusvie, very few B & B, and this didnt work well at the bar at all. They were reluctant to serve us as they had a slip to fill out [we wanted to pay as we went!), then seemed to always be short of change. If a till was installed here that would solve problem. Air con not brilliant, everything else made up for that though. Pool excellent, lots of free beds!

What a fantastic fully inclusive hotel, nothing is too much trouble for ANY of the staff. Rooms, clean, bright and a good size. good quality, and so much to choose from, there is something for everyone, all self service which is great, the food just goes on and on all day every day, the drinks are the real thing NOT watered down(like some all inclusive hotels out there.) Set in beautiful surroundings with private beach, 2 pools and plenty of sun beds. You will not want to venture outside of the hotel as there is so much to do within. The night time entertainment is great and well worth seeing. This is the Third time we have been to this hotel and will be back there again in 6 weeks time. You will not be disappointed at all with this hotel.
