Dahab was perfect for me , and the Mirage Village and the Diving Center made my holiday dream comes true as i was so worried about everything , i recommend them for all divers and non divers ,

Top Local Tips for Dahab

It's not great. Go elsewhere on the Red Sea as Dahab is boring, except for the scuba diving up and down the coast.. nice fish and coral but it's not as gorgeous as Ras Mohammed National Park. The 'beach' at Dahab is just gravel and stones and stinks of the human effluent dumped into the tiny bay at random times so you swim/scuba through clouds of stringy mucus and slicks of greasy bubbles - I got a bacterial infection in my stomach which made me quite ill for a few days and cost me money for medical treatment. Really disgusting. Also, the sea bed is covered with building rubble and rubbish so it's not a good place to learn diving. Dahab town is full of perverted Egyptians who leer at women, and Western mindless stereotypes that are fake and irritating at best, the type of boring asses who take up a 'hippie persona' just to try to fit in somewhere, and then try to convince themselves that this miserable, dull little village is a charming slice of heaven by day and a hardcore rave paradise by night.
