I've just returned from the Dahab Paradise yesterday and was so impressed that I had to write a review on them. The hotel is about a 5min drive from the centre of the town (costing about 10-15 Egyptian pounds) but could be walkable if you fancied it. Because its out of town its really quiet and the staff are there for your every whim. We spent 9 days in Dahab most of it diving but when we got back to the hotel the staff were always smiling and helpful however tired we were. Not everything is perfect, we went half board and there was a little confusion on a menu but the food was excellent so it wasn't a huge issue. All rooms had a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea which was lovely to sit on during the day. They were simple but comfortable rooms with no television however it was really nice to get completely away from home and if you really wanted to stay up-to-date with the world there was free wi-fi in the hotel. Overall a really relaxing place, really enjoyable, excellent food. We would definatly go again!

I must say when we got to Dahab late at night our cab driver would'nt take us to the cheap places we read about online, but because of a series of events, we ended up at the Dahab Paradise. It was wonderful, with fly's but that is just part of Dahab. The service is top rate and the guys working there are professional care takers to the fullest. At night the property is all lit up with romantic lighting and all the rooms have pool/garden/ocean facing porches with lounge chairs. The location is a few minutes by jeep/taxi to the main drag in Dahab on the road to the Blue Hole. It really doesn't matter about the distance yo can get anywhere fast and cheap in Dahab. We are returning in a couple weeks only 3 months after we were last there. Breakfast is included and is good/standard but will save you the trouble of looking for breakfast in town (which can be plain awfull!) Anway, for the price, Dahab Paradise is a bargin and yes, it is a "paradise".

Historical Traveller Reviews of Dahab Paradise Hotel

Calm, peaceful. And interesting.

from cigano1
Very peaceful hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff were unusually attentive and respectful, and conducted themselves with intelligence and warmth. It is a nice distance from town, you can walk along the beach to get there, but Dahab town centre itself is nothing special. All the restaurants are strangely tacky and the food in Dahab in not great. If you need some tranquility Dahab Paradise is the place to go. The business is relatively new and it is an exciting place to be. The staff are all very proud to be building what is an ethical enterprise with caring philosophy which informs every decision. The views are incredible, large mountains to the back of the hotel, and (in March) a dark moody expanse of sea to look out on to. I've never felt more relaxed, and less guilty for it.

Lovely small hotel with great view - out of town

We recently returned from 10 days at the Dahab Paradise. It is a lovely small hotel. The location is lovely, views across to sea to Saudi Arabia! Rooms are very nice with simple, rustic furniture and the bathroom is modern and clean. There is no TV or phone but that didn't bother us. The pool is lovely but we could not use it since it was freezing cold (so was the sea!) so perhaps it is recommended to go later in the year when it has warmed up! The only thing we were disappointed in was that you could not use the beach due to it being on the protected coral reef. It is also quite isolated from town - it is a long walk through the not so nice part of town! You can however get a taxi into town or to the lagoon which is about 10 mins. The food at the hotel is very nice and the staff are very good and will do anything for you. We organised 2 trips through the hotel, Mt Sinai (you need walking shoes and warm clothes!) and the fantastic coloured and white canyons tour with lunch at a bedouin village. Overall it was very nice and would have been even better if we could have snorkelled from the beach and had a short walk into town.

Friendly relaxing place to stay

We visit Dahab i Feb. For us it was just the right thing to be in Dahab Paradise.
We could relax with our kids, take trips around Dahab and in to the city, and come back again to the hotel and breath out. The Hotel became ouer oase. The girls used the swimming pool and was every day supristed by the nice figuers in the rooms the towels shaped in diffrent forms or animals. The service was personal and also relaxing The rooms was very clean, the food was good. We would like to come back.

Truly Paradise!!! : )

I can't rate Dahab Paradise highly enough, the location is fab, away from the hustle and bustle of Dahab (yet close enough to visit), the setting is amazing, great food in the restaurant, friendly staff and a very memorable POOL. It's hot in Dahab and not always easy to cool off in the sea, the POOL at Dahab Paradise is definitely a great reason to stay, amongst many others.

Dahab is a great place to visit for partying, diving, sunbaking, relaxing in the sun... There are loads of things to do (diving, jeep trips, remote cafe's by the sea, shopping, camel rides, mount sinai etc) although you really don't need to even leave the paradise ; )

I've been to Dahab a couple of times before and this is the by far the best hotel in town!

Book now, you are sure to enjoy! : )

pleasent Charming view , friendly staff and memoriable visit

i've been there last summer ,it was part of our trip to spend a week outside the stress of the crowded streets of cairo and the other places we used to spend the summer in, as alexandria ....we first did the booking through contacting the hotel via e-mail ,which was so quick in response ,they offered us inhabitation for a fair amount of money (depends on the number of rooms) ,both single and double rooms are neat and clean with a nice bathroom (no satellite was avaliable but come on who needs one in dahab !! ) and the most wonderfull thing that all rooms has a different decoration which was hand made antiques they had rooms with the mountain and sea views (i recommend the sea view fully awesome !! ) the nearest place to get to dahab's coolest spots in minutes ,they supported us with jeeps whenever we wanted to ....also they offer different kind of safaris which suits all budgets.,there was a diving center too but we didn't experience it hoping we will next time..the restaurant is clean and offers a variety of dishes and so do the snack bar, there was no bar back then and that was the only thing that bothered me, but they do offer cold local beer and they don't mind you bringing your own bottles :)), swimming in the pool with the sea and mountains view was so much fun ,in few words it was really a real paradise surething we will get back there next summer ,no matter who u r goin' with (couple , family , friends ) i guarantee you 'll have fun relaxing ,enjoying the great sightseeings of the real dahab paradise : )))

An amazing escape from everything...

Dahab Paradise is a secluded little getaway with simple comforts designed to feel as though you are truly away from it all! Far enough from town to feel secluded, but close enough to shop and dine out is definitely a perk! The pool is cleaned every day and the rooms are simple and sweet. No tv, no radio, and no clocks makes this resort a great hideaway. Plus, this a small private resort so the number of guests never exceed the number of people at the pool! You feel like you rented the entire place for you and your friends! haha

Meals are definitely cooked to order, and slowly delivered so don't wait till your hungry (one meal took two hours, but yummy!!)! The food is great and the staff are very friendly! I am eager to return to Dahab Paradise! :)

I stayed at the Dahab Paradise for a few nights in November. I found the place relaxing, the food yummy and our room comfortable.

Some of the staff were really lovely, especially Sam(?)
It was nice to have a couple of cats and a gorgeous little puppy around. (They belonged to hotel staff).

Unfortunately (and this is the only thing that lets this place down), some of the staff treated the puppy unkindly. It was upsetting to see and even when approached, they denied doing anything wrong, even though several members of our party witnessed it.
I appreciate cultural differences in how some people perceive treating animals, but teasing animals is not funny or clever at any time. This poor puppy absolutely loved playing with the guests but was sometimes locked away or chained up for doing so. Yet he had no toys to play with.
As an animal lover, I will not stay at this hotel again.
I do hope the manager will speak to the staff in question and rectify the problem as it lets the hotel down.
Management Response from DahabParadise
Dear Miss Random

We are glad you enjoyed your stay here at Dahab Paradise and appreciated the atmosphere, your room and the cuisine.

We also thank you for bringing this to our attention, and can assure you that when it was reported at the hotel, it was discussed fully by our multi-cultural team.

We are sorry that you perceived Romeo being teased by our staff as negative thing, and we do believe that there are more cultural differences regarding this than the one you mention. Romeo is a "street dog" with his instincts and capabilities intact, and he is perfectly able to entertain himself and find his own 'toys'. We can probably agree that the assumption that 'pets need toys', is a cultural assumption, and that the need for it is dependent on the pet's general freedom: A dog living in a flat in London will obviously have other needs for entertainment than Romeo, who is enjoying the fresh air, the nature and the company of our staff and guests. We (and many of our guests with us), can ensure that Romeo is a spoiled and happy dog, regularly fed, bathed and taken care of.

Even if most of our guests appreciate Romeo's presence, we also understand that not all of our guests are pet lovers. We want all our guests to enjoy Paradise, and we also love to have Romeo around. As such, we have agreed together that Romeo should be brought up enjoying time with us and our guests, but that it is also good for him as a puppy to have a little quiet time alone, so that he can enjoy his much needed puppy sleep and learn that he cannot always play with everyone. This, we feel, will give Romeo a healthy and balanced lifestyle and upbringing, and as such he has his bed in Paradise where he sleeps with his (very long), chain on.

As animal lovers too, we appreciate your time in letting us know how you felt, and give you our assurances that our puppy is being very well cared for. We do hope that this puts your mind at rest, and that you decide to visit us (and Romeo!), here again in Paradise.

Thank you,
Dahab Paradise Team

Lovely place, lots of flies

from RogerDonoghue
Nice hotel - lovely rooms and balconies, though little privacy to expect to get to know your neighbours.

All the staff were superb, the pool is nice and the location is peaceful - it's a 15LE taxi into town.

The food is generally very good but the eating area is totally plagued by flies - 100's of them. They need to install zapping machines, or find the source (lots of baby flies too so something is rotting somewhere). It put us off eating there for the most part.

Definately recommended but they just need to get on top of the fly problem.

Edit: they are hanging fly traps up as I type so they are clearly aware of the problem.
Management Response from DahabParadise
Dear RogerDonoghue

Yes, we are aware if the problem!!! And very sorry to read that the flies effected your experience at Dahab Paradise in this way.

We have fly traps in the restaurant and garden which reduce the number of flies considerably. The fly traps are removed from time to time to be cleaned - and it seems like you have got us in this moment.

We are currently searching the market for more efficient chemicals that can elimitate the problem without destroying the fresh air and nice atmosphere at Dahab Paradise. Hope to see you here in a fly-free paradise!

Relaxation!!!

from El-Travelers
On our second trip to Dahab, we again stayed at the Dahab Paradise Hotel. A new and truly perfect little place in the world we recommend anyone to stay at for peace and quiet. The rooms (without TV) offer dark wood decks looking out over the water front and the pool. At night all the palm trees are lit up. I can only say the lighting makes this place pleasing to look at, you just have to go and see it yourself. The staff is friendly and can help you with anything you need. We are always traveling on a budget so when we go to Dahab, we stay the first few days at the Dahab Paradise before moving to cheaper and less appealing sleeping corders.

Best chocolate milkshakes ever!!

from Maytraveller24
This was a lovely little resort just outside Dahab. Rooms were spacious and clean, food was good, and the chocolate milkshakes were literally the best ever!!
Resort has its own dive centre where you can dive or snorkel for a reasonable price.
Taxi takes 10 mins into Dahab, and costs 15LE which is about £1.50.
Very relaxing and staff were excellent.
