1- You mentioned that Santana Hotel is a 3 Star Hotel, but only by accident I discovered that the Hotel is Actually graded as a 2 Star hotel by the Egyptian Hotel Association in their Annual Guide.( I Saw the latest edition for 2005-2006 it is the 26th edition.)
2- Santana Hotel do not own a swimming pool it is owned by another hotel (Indiana) which is next to Santana Hotel, and when you want to go this Swimming Pool you must go First To Indiana Hotel and Pay for Entrance!
3- Again their is no Sauna in both hotels!
In addition to, Very Bad Staff, Noisy, and not clean.

Surprise! I went to Cairo ONLY because my daughter wanted to and was personally dreading it! To my great amazement, the people are clean (ok, the buildings aren't but what do you expect with all that polution and no rain?), the people are always cleaning (eg sweeping paths, washing windows, washing cars etc), the people are SO helpful, SO friendly and in a genuine, interested way; not the creepy, leering way I'd expected! You can always see the negative, choose to see the positive! The way they drive is different to anything I've experienced before but I wouldn't say it's wrong - it works for them.
Pyramids If you are even a little bit curious or want to see the pyramids well, then make sure you go inside the King's pyramid. Don't let anyone talk you out of it. The climb is not bad inside. The key is to get there early to get tickets for the morning or by 1 pm to get tickets for the afternoon. There are only 300 tickets sold per day.
bazaar I got better prices on items from the hotel gift shop than I did at the khan el-khalili bazaar! Probably cause I'm a lousy negotiator! And the fellow was so friendly and not aggressive.

At that moment someone came I think he was the front office manager and he shouted at the other guy in Arabic, and it was clear that they were trying to hide this fact. Trying to make things better they gave me one of the "remodeled" rooms and I was shocked again to find the room to be very dirty and smelly.
The next day I called my tour operator and told him about that and they did not say anything, all what they did after I insisted on leaving this hotel is that they transferred me to a real 4 star hotel. So, be aware when traveling to Egypt you must ask about a proof of the real ranking of the hotels.
In General Santana hotel was very dirty 2 star hotel.
