We stayed at the Le Meridien Pyramids in 2005, and all I can say is, "wow" what a holiday,, everything was perfect, and far from it,, breakfast was nice and cooked perfectly and we neva ran short of restaurants to eat in,,, it has to be my best experience up to date, and I would deffo recommend this hotel to anyone. Instead of booking excursions through your tour operator, it works out cheaper if you do it yourself.

We hired a car for the entire day and it cost us £350 Egyptian pounds which is roughly £35 English pounds and it's great! We saw all the main points of Egypt and it was fantastic, we did everything at our own pace!!!

One excursion I would definitely recommend to couples is to see the sun set in the Sahara desert, it was the best experience and sooo lovely!

We stayed at the meridien for five nights in june last year and it was wonderful. The hotel is in agreat location and the rooms were spotless. There was a wide range of food in the main restaurant. The best thing about the meridien was its wonderful pool,which has amazing views of the pyramids. Egypt is amazing! But be prepared for the noisy traffic in Cairo which never stops. A fabulous city and a recommended hotel! My advice however is to not eat outside in the morning, because its great too hotel. Also make sure you take a trip down the nile and ride a camel while you are in Cairo!
