It is a beautiful hotel. After arriving on an international flight from Minnesota we were exhausted after a day of sight seeing and welcomed the great beds. At about midnight, the wedding party began and continued until after we left at 0500! It was wall shaking loud and the management claimed the volume was 'out of their control'. We could not sleep the rest of the night. Request for refunds have been ignored.
Wonderful hotel

In 2004 we stayed at the Marriott downtown Cairo and in 2005 we stayed at the Intercontinental Pyramid Parks Hotel in Giza. The Pyramid is the one for us from now on.
We stayed in room 464 at the rear of the complex. Our room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The cliental seemed to be mostly middle to upper aged tourist and not the rowdy teen to 30 group. The pool is closed in the evening and the hotel is quiet and safe. The staff from the General Manager down to the cleaning attendants were courteous and helpful to our needs and requests. The price for the room was quite reasonable and the several on-site restaurants offered well prepared meals for the whole family at reasonable prices. The food was better than good and don't forget we don't go to Egypt for the food, do we? If you want fine dining go to Paris. Again, the hotel is less than 3 miles from the Pyramids at Giza. Hop in a taxi and in less than 8 minutes (the traffic is awful) you're at the premire tourist site of the world. Also it's not too far from Saqqara for the other pyramids that the tourist don't get to see. The Bent, The Red, The Black and The Step. Gotta see them all.
We stayed there for 8 days and enjoyed every minute of the trip. All in all the Intercontinental Pyramid Parks is the place for me from now on!

First of all, it's far from Cairo, really far from airport. If you take a taxi to go to the airport, you have to pay 110 egyptian pounds.
I want to take a bath in it's bath room, there was yellow, stincky water flows.
Staff was kind though.
Breakfast is a good, but, I am a single woman, so hotel staff are hissing, and make cat sounds to me.

Top Local Tips for Cairo
keep out the skeeters Keep your doors closed as much as possible, and consider asking for an upper level room.
bring lotion with you you should bring any lotion or moisturizer with you..... very less humidity there
Leave the driving to the locals Don't even think about trying to drive in Cairo traffic. There are no rules and no lanes. Pedestrians and donkey carts share the expressways with cars and trucks. I didn't see one car that did not have numerous bumps and scrapes on its bodywork.
