My partner & I visited Cairo in August '08 for a couple of days only. The main purpose of our visit was to see the pyramids. We had read good reviews on the Havana & so we decided to stay there. The location of the hotel was ideal for our short stay in that it was not too central (but close too busy streets with that lively Cairo bustle you can expect) & only a short spin to Gaza. The Havana Hotel organized a trip for us with a very good tour guide, which we were very happy with. The hotel itself is very good value. It is hard to find such a nice hotel in Cairo city with very clean rooms & very polite service for that price. We were lucky we picked this one. Rooms were tidy with a bathroom and A/C (very important). The hotel is run by very honest people. In fact, we left our video camera in the reception area as we were leaving in a mad rush to get to the airport. We called the hotel from the airport and they immediately confirmed that they had it at reception. We didn't have time to return to the hotel so they proposed to send it to us (without hesitation). I trusted them and so I transferred money to cover the cost. The hotel staff put the effort in to organize everything and we received the package via DHL a few weeks later. I can honestly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Cairo. We were really happy with it. Enjoy !!

Great 3 stars hotel!!!

They picked us up from the airport for free and this was great because we arrived late. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and they have very good travel disk. Thank you Havana Hotel. We love Egypt!!!
