Central, friendly, welcoming

I have stayed here many times, I visit Cairo every few months all year and mostly head to El Hussain. THe rooms are VERY basic, some cleaner than others. Often with Fridge, some A/C. Bathrooms functional. BUT, the staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. Food excellent and location vibrant...as long as you dont need to sleep early to be somewhere important. If you need to be up early ensure the 2 mosques either side with give you a tuneful wake up call ;-) Cheap, very chearfull and my fav'.

I have been back to this hotel on 3 occassions and will be ensureing I will be staying there again next year when I go back to Egypt. It is so friendly and what a place to stay and see every day life instead of the sterile atmosphere where the larger hotels are

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel and love it each time. They make you feel so welcome and I highly recommend it. Although the rooms are rough and ready the atmosphere is brilliant
