Save money - take your own The hotel allows you to take wine with you. We did and it was a god send. You cannot buy alcohol anywhere in the area. Do not under any circumstances, try to make your own way back from Alex without having organised a taxi with a driver who speaks English and take the hotel telephone number with you. We had a scary experience when at 22:00 in Alex not one taxi driver had even heard of Borg el Arab let alone knew how to get there. We had find a hotel, where they spoke English, to get us a taxi, even then he got lost three times and it took us 2 hours to go what should have been 1 hour.
Food at 1/10 of prize You can buy food, pizza, chicken,,,everything from the tourist village attached to the hotel. You will save a fortune.

When you see big hotel resort name you are at least expecting something more than standard B&B hotel. Yes of course the room service, new towels and the swiming pool are something very pleasant.
But :
- room was not cleaned at all during all my stay.
- bed was only ( how to say it ... ) moved and identical marks apeared evry day once on the left side of the bed and once on the right side. Was it new one or the same ... ? :-)
- Bathroom should be cleaned by my self because after three demands ... nothing happened.
- Tabout toilets, it was better to use those one from the restaurant if you did not wanted see durring all day long what you eat day before ... two rooms from three I was in had this problem.
- if you speak one bad english as I do ... do not worry in any case only very feew people are able to try to understand you :-)
