Hostal aribau was very tiny (about 6-7 rooms), but it was cozy! Upon arrival, my friend and i checked in and the man at the front desk (presumabley the owner) was so nice. He actually gave us the largest room in the hostal since someone had recently cancelled, but only charged us for the previous room we had registered for! Our room had two double beds, a bathroom (albeit tiny, but still a bathroom) AND a balcony. Salle aribau is beautiful - a tiny, tree-lined street filled with restaurants and bars, and was only a short walk from las ramblas and other attractions (the picasso museum, gaudi's houses). Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and have actually recommended this hostel to others who were going to be in Barcelona on vacation because it's so affordable!
