The market has been in operation for 30 years on the Plaza Artigas and can get very crowded during summer evenings.
Old Lighthouse - the lighthouse was first installed at the Isla de los Lobos in 1858 but due to complaints from fisherman it was moved to the peninsula in 1860. The lighthouse is 44m high and flashes twice every 8 seconds. The lighthouse was again rebuilt in 1923 using volcanic ash from Italy. The views from the area are spectacular. |
