PARK CITY LOCAL HISTORY
In 1935 members of The Park City Ski Club, which included high school students from Lincoln School, built their own ski jump on the old Creole Mine dump west of town. Their enthusiasm sparked a flare of excitement with the locals. It would then finally after years of pondering, lead to the opening day of the resort, 21 December 1963, then known as Treasure Mountain. In 1966, the resort changes its name to The Park City Mountain Resort and receives a much needed installation of ski patrol telephone systems.

Park City Mountain Resort has experienced a long history of innovations in the ski industry and continues, on a daily basis, to set the standard by which other companies are judged. It has become a world-class resort due to its commitment to its customers and employees.
