COOPERSTOWN ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Baseball Hall of Fame - 25 Main Street. This is one of the most famous places in the USA, and is a must see for anyone interested in baseball. The Hall houses 30,000 exhibits including baseballs; bats; uniforms; ballpark artifacts; priceless trading cards; and a microcosm of American history. Here you'll get to learn everything there is to know about baseball.

Fenimore Art Museum - Lake Road. The museum is housed in an elegant 1930s mansion overlooking Otsego Lake, built on the site of James Fenimore Cooper's home. The museums main attraction is its collection of Native American art, which includes masks; sculptures; bows and arrows; headdresses; moccasins; and beautiful beadwork from tribes all over America.

The Farmers' Museum,/b> - Lake Road, just out of town. This is a most interesting museum in New York state; it portrays rural village life circa 1845.In order to re-create a 19th century village, 25 historic buildings,which has been a working farm since 1790, were moved to this site. There are workers that staff the different buildings, dressed in period costumes, bringing the museum to life.

COOPERSTOWN RESTAURANTS Add your favourite restaurant
T.J.'s Place - 124 Main Street. This restaurant is about as American as they come, with a life-size hot dog statue; old Coca-Cola signs; and signed photos of old ball players lining the walls. They serve a wide range of traditional American food, including burgers; barbecued spare ribs; ham steak with pineapple; and even liver and onions.

Danny's Market - 92 Main Street. This is the best deli in town, and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a range of the best sandwiches served on excellent fresh baked bread, such as "Aged in Caves," paper-thin slices of prosciutto with smoked Gouda, tomato, and honey mustard. You can even design your own sandwich.

Hoffman Lane Bistro - 2 Hoffman Lane. This is possibly the best restaurant in town, and it is very popular with locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of excellent contemporary American food, including meatloaf made with lamb; pork; and beef, and pan-seared tuna au poivre in a brandy cream sauce. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

COOPERSTOWN BARS & CLUBS Add your favourite bar & club
The 1819 House - Hartwick Index Rd. This is one of the most popular bars in Cooperstown, and is the place to go for a slightly more relaxed night out. Here you can sit back, have a few drinks, while meeting some people and having great conversation. They serve a wide range of drinks, from beers to cocktails.

Glimmerglass Opera - Just out of Cooperstown on Route 80. This is one of the best opera houses in the area, and dates back to 1975. The 900 seater theatre is located on 43 acres of farmland with unusual sliding walls that allow everyone to enjoy fresh air and views of the countryside before performances. This is the place to go if you're looking for something a little different.

Inn at Cooperstown - 16 Chestnut Street. This beautiful yellow Victorian inn dates back to 1874, and is a great place to go and get away from it all. The bar inside the inn is popular with the older genration of locals, and is a great place to go and take a break, sit back and have a few brewskies.

COOPERSTOWN CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES Add your favourite children's spot
Cooperstown Fun Park - Located just out of town on State Route 28. This is a great place to take the children for a fun day out. There are a wide range of facilities at the park, including a go-kart track; bumber boats; a batting cage; miniature golf course; a video game arcade; and a pizza and ice cream parlour. There is so much to do, you may have to bring the children back for another day.

Barnyard Swing - 4750 Street, Highway 28. This is another great place to take the children for a fun time they will never forget. The Barnyard Swing has so much on offer, including miniature golf with a haunted golf course; gaming arcade with pool and air hockey tables; a farmers market; and gem panning. They also do birthday parties. There is also a cafe that sells a wide range of refreshments.
