JL Scott Marine Education Center - The JL Scott Marine Education Center offers guests with a glimpse of life under the sea. The education center includes a 44,000-gallon Gulf of Mexico tank filled with life found in that area of the ocean, 47 other fascinating aquariums, a tank filled with creates that you can touch and many other exciting and interesting aquatic exhibits.
Riverfest – Located near the Mississippi Rive Riverfest is a joyous festival held on the weekends in downtown Vicksburg. Listen to the regions' greatest bands and dance until late into the night. The festival is one of the town’s main events and offers a great selection of regional food.
Magnolia Hall - Located in Natchez Magnolia Hall was on of the last great mansions built before the Civil War times. The mansion was restored to its original splendor and now features a costume museum. The architecture is fascinating and awe inspiring.

Gulfport/Biloxi - The beaches on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast are absolutely breathtaking. The soft, sugar-white beaches are accompanied by quiet waves and tides. There are many places to pull over along the 26 miles of gorgeous beaches, perfect for taking pictures. Beach chairs are free to visitors so no need to bring one along. Lie in the sun or take a stroll along one of the piers.
Long Beach - Just West of the Gulfport/Biloxi area is Long Beach, the perfect place for relaxing and taking in the hot Southern sun. The area is peaceful and quiet as it is located amongst a residential area. Enjoy long nighttime strolls or picnics any time of the day.
Ship Island - Named one of the top ten beaches in the United States by USA Today Ship Island is a surfer’s paradise. Take the ferry from the Gulfport Small Craft Harbor to this wonderful stretch of white sand beach. The sun is particularly hot in this area so make sure to bring some sunscreen or a hat. The island also offers visitors a few places to grab a quick bite to eat.
