Civic Center Park - 26000 Evergreen Road. A huge park that has everything you could ask for. There is a golf course and an indoor ice skating arena, nature trails and outdoor swimming pool. For the sporty folk there are tennis, sand volleyball and handball cours as well as the sport arena. The kids can enjoy the play area, the restrooms are plentiful and you can even try your hand at some fishing.
Franklin Cider Mill - 7450 Franklin Road, Franklin, Telephone - (248) 626-2968. Just 3 miles out of Southfield you will find this 1832 mill that is a national historical sit. There are lots of interesting fresh produce to buy, but don;t leave without sampling their freshly pressed cider. Open late August through November.
Southfield Sports Arena - 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield, Telephone - (248)354-9357. Open all year round for ice skating lessons. Otherwise there is also a 50 meter outdoor pool as well as a water slide and a spray pool for the kids. |
