Indianapolis – Home to the Indianapolis 500 car race, this town needs little introduction among car enthusiast. Indianapolis also has several world-class sport stadiums.
Bloomington – This college town is a vibrant place with a great nightlife. It is also home to the Hoosier basketball team. The town even boasts with a Tibetan Cultural Centre – a sign of the diverse culture that envelops the town.
Michigan City – On the shore of Lake Michigan, this is the best place in the to explore the Great Lake from.

| Assuming that one doesn't want to miss the most well-known event in Indiana (the Indy 500 car race), May is definitely the best month to travel here. Summer months also compliments a visit to Lake MIchigan well. The main tourist season is from May to September. |

White River State Park – Indianapolis. The lovely greenery of this park houses both the Indianapolis Zoo and the White River Gardens; an ideal breakaway from the city life.
Indiana’s fifty-mile lakeshore – Even though this strip of shore is the shortest lakeshore strip of all the states, its beautiful dunes and beaches will definitely allow for long-lasting memories. The Indiana Dunes National lakeshore starts at Michigan City and is aimed at preventing any further development on the state’s shoreline.
East Race Waterway – South Bend. Although man-made, this whitewater course will let you have some great kayaking and rafting fun. It is the first of its sorts in the world.

| There are nine Interstates that cut through Indiana, of which five leads to Indiana. The area is served by the Indianapolis International Airport, and interstate bus services is also a great means of travelling transport. |
