Museum Of Discovery and Science - 401 SW Second Street. This museum is a great place for the whole family, with many interesting and interactive exhibitions. The museums exhibitions include displays on nature and ecosystems; space; ecolgy; and interactive displays on how the mind and body works.
Old Fort Lauderdale Village and Museum - 219-231 SW 2nd Avenue, just out of town. This is a group of six old beautiful buildings along the New River, and is well worth the trip from Weston. The two main attractions are the New River Inn, dating back to 1905, and King-Cromartie House. In the New River Inn, which is now a museum, there are exhibits about the Seminole Indians lifestyles and crafts.
Flamingo Gardens - 3750 S. Flamingo Road. This is a great place to take the family, especially the children. This beautiful garden is an educational animal sanctuary and aviary, which offers up-close viewing of birds that are native to the area. There are also tram rides, which offer information on the history of the area and the growing of oranges. |

Mambo Jambo - 1396 SW 160th Avenue. This is one of the best restaurants in Weston and is popular with locals and tourists alike. This romantic and elegant restaurant serves a wide range of American and international cuisine. The setting is amazing and the food excellent, all the ingredients for an unforgettable dining experience.
Max's - 2210 Weston Road. This is another one of the top restaurants to choose from in Weston, and is a great place for lunch and dinner. They serve a wide range of traditional local dishes, as well as some all American favourites. The food is great, service outstanding and the prices are reasonable.
Lilas Restaurant - 8th street and 87th avenue, just out of town. This is the place to go if you're looking to try some traditional Cuban food, and is a popular place for locals and tourists to have lunch or dinner. They serve the best Cuban steaks in town and Cuban frita is a great variation of the traditional American burger. |

Howl at the Moon - 17 S. Atlantic Beach Boulevard. This is one of the best places to go and have a fun night out on the town, and it is very popular with locals and tourists alike. There are DJs that play a range of dance music, from salsa to rave. This is a great place to have some fun, down a few drinks and mingle with the locals.
Shelbourne Hotel Karaoke Bar - Collins Ave at the Shelbourne Hotel. This is one of the most popular places with tourists, and is a great place to have a laugh while singing a few tunes. There is also a DJ on hand to play a wide variety of dance music to keep the party going if no one wants to sing.
Hot Shots Sports Bar - 3868 N University Drive. This lively sports bar is one of the most popular bars close to town, and is frequented by a mixed group of locals. There are a wide range of pub activities on offer, including pool; darts; and table soccer. There is also a big screen TV, which shows live sporting activities everyday. |

Village Park - Arvida Parkway and Country Isles Road. This is a great place to take the family to have some fun outdoors, and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This beautiful park has a playground for children; picnic areas; and a few paths to take a relaxing stroll along.
Markham Park - State Road 84 and Weston Road, just out of town. This county park is a great place to take the family for a fun day out amongst nature, and is well worth the trip out of town. The park has a number of facilities on offer, including a camping area; swimming pools; playgrounds; nature trails; and picnic areas. |
