Captain Grant's - 109 Route 2A. This authentic 18th century inn is the oldest in New England, and was built by Captain Grant in 1754. Originally it served as a war garrison, and during the Civil War, Grant used it to hide slaves from almost certain death. This is a sight not to be missed.
Mystic Seaport - 75 Greenmanville Avenue. The village and shipslocated at Mystic Seaport, are like a living history museum of the town. Mystic gained a reputation as one of the best shipbuilding towns in the U.S. There are many ships in the Seaport that visitors can explore, from schooners to whaling ships.
Mystic Aquarium - 55 Coogan Boulevard. This is a great place for the whole family, especially the children. The aquarium has 3,500 different species of marine life from all over the world, including 500 different species of the most amazing exotic fishes from around the world. |

Jamms Restaurant - Coogan Boulevard. This is one of the best restaurants in town, and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of American food, including seafood; steaks; ribs; and burgers. This is a great place for lunch or dinner.
Mystic Pizza - Main Street. This is is one of the most famous places in Mystic, the pizzas here are famous around the whole world. THey serve a wide range of traditional and innovative pizzas, and the prices are very reasonable. This is one of the most recommended places to go for lunch in Mystic.
Go Fish - Old Mystic Village. This is one of the best seafood restaurants in town, and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of the best seafood dishes, from traditional to some interesting innovations of their own. The food is great and the service is excellent. |

Seamen's Inne Pub - 105 Greenmanville Avenue. This pub is one of the oldest in town, and is very popular with the older generation of locals. They serve a wide range of beers; wines; and spirits. This is a great place to relax, have a drink and mix with some of the locals.
Casey's Pub - 27 Kings Highway. This is one of the most popular pubs in town, and is frequented by a mixed group of locals and tourists. The pub has video games; a jukebox; and a number of other games to play. This is a great place to have a drink and mix with the locals.
Harp & Hound - 4 Pearl Street. This is one of the most popular bars in town, and is frequented by a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. This is a great place to go and have a few drinks and have some fun, and mingle with some of the locals or fellow tourists. |

Wharton Brook State Park - Route 5 near Wallingford. This is a great place to take the family for a fun day out amongst nature, and it is well worth the trip out of town. This 96 acre park has many facilities on offer, including swimming; hiking; fishing; winter ice skating; and picnic areas.
Wadsworth Falls State Park - Route 157. This is another great place for a day trip from Mystic. This beautiful 285 acre park has a waterfall and laurel groves. The park also has picnic areas; fishing; hiking and cross-country ski trails; swimming; children's play areas; and restrooms. This is a great place to have some fun, taking a break from the busy city life. |
