HARTFORD ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Connecticut Fire Museum - 230 Pine Street, Cheney National Historic District. This amzing museum housed in an old 1901 fire station is home to the best collection of the history of fire fighting for the past 100 years and beyond. The museum has an extensive collection of early American craftsmanship related to firefighting, including glassware; lighting; leather making; photography; textiles; and paintings.

Hill Stead Museum - 36 Mountain Road. This National Historic Landmark is situated on a 152 acre hilltop estate, that used to be a working farm. It contains an orchard; dairy; and a six-hole golf course, it also includes vast fields; stonewalls; woodland walking trails; and a beautiful sunken garden. This is a sight not to be missed when in Hartford.

Traveler's Tower - This is one of the top attractions in Hartford, the tower is 34 stories tall and stands 527 feet above street level. The Tower's observation deck is open to visitors weekdays from May to October, and offers some of the most amazing views. This is a sight not to be missed.

HARTFORD RESTAURANTS Add your favourite restaurant
Black Eyed Sally's - 350 Asylum Street. This is one of the best restaurants in town and is popular with locals and tourists. They serve an excellent range of barbecue and Cajun dishes, at reasonable prices. This is the place to go to sample some of the local cuisine.

Hot Tomato's - 1 Union Place. This lively restaurant has been a favourite amongst locals for any years, and is highly recommended by the Hartford Courant. They serve a wide variety of Italian food exploding with colour and flavour. This is a great place to go for dinner.

Max Downtown - City Place 185 Asylum St. This is one of the top restaurants in town, featuring 4-star American Cuisine. They have an excellent range of steakhouse selections, which are very popular with locals. This is also Hartfod's only cigar bar.

HARTFORD BARS & CLUBS Add your favourite bar & club
The Brickyard Cafe - 113 - 115 Allyn Street. This has been Hartford's top nightclub for the past 5 years in a row, and is very popular with a mixed crowd of locals. The club has three floors, one area features the city's hottest bands; the second level is where the resident DJ plays a mix of all the top dance hits; and the third level is a sports cafe. This is a great place to party and meet new people.

Bourbon Street North - 70 union Place. This is another one of the top nightclubs in the city and offers a little bit of everything. It has two bars; a dance floor; and a large number of pool tables. The Friday night Happy Hours are possibly the best and livliest in the whole city.

Sully's Pub - 2071 Park Street. This pub has been home to the Hartford music seen for a number of years, and has live music seven nights a week. The atmosphere is amazing, with the stage set in the middle of the pub, which creates an amphitheatre kind of vibe. This is the place to go if you want to check out some of the local talent.

HARTFORD PARKS & GARDENS Add your favourite park & garden
Bushnell Park - Trinity Street. This park is one of the most popular and is located in the centre of downtown Hartford. There are a range of facilities available at the park, including a playground area; walking paths with exotic trees; a pond; and a carousel. This is a great place for the whole family to relax and take a break from sightseeing.

Keney Park - Tower Avenue. This large park, located just a little out of the centre of town, is a great place to take the family for some fun and relaxation. The park has a wide range of facilities on offer, including baseball; basketball; football; soccer; tennis; picnic areas; playgrounds; a pond house and pond; spray and swimming pools; a golf course; a cricket field; and shops selling food and refreshments.
