DURANGO ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Animas Museum - The museum is housed in a 1904 stone house school building. It features a restored log cabin which dates back 1870. The museum features interesting displays which depict the lives American Indians, as well as local history.

Chimney Rock Archeological Area - Located in the San Juan National Forest land. The site dates back 1000 years as the home of the Pueblo Indians.

The Grand Motorcar & Piano Collection - The museum is home to 30 gorgeous classic cars, which includes Hudson, Packard, and Nash, ranging from the 1930s to 1950s. There are also two beautify grand pianos on display which definitely shouldn't be missed.

DURANGO RESTAURANTS Add your favourite restaurant
Cyprus Cafe - The cafe features a simple, yet classy atmosphere. It offers a wonderful selection of delicious Mediterranean cuisine, their specialities being dishes such as fresh seafood dishes and spinach and feta cheese which is wrapped in phyllo dough.

Henry's Restaurant - The restaurant has been a very popular choice with locals for the past 100 years. The restaurant boasts with the services of award-winning chef Rustin Newton. His specialities include delicious original dishes such as a peppered Herbert steak which is served with a mango chutney sauce and fresh water trout which is sauteed in olive oil and served with a tasty garlic and parsley butter.

Steamworks Brewing Co - The restaurant is situated in a funky 1920's warehouse-style building. It features a main dining room, as well as a patio dining area. The restaurant features large food portions which are sure to tickle even the toughest critics taste buds. Look out for the Pepper Jack Cheese Half-pound burger, which is a local favourite.

Bar D Chuckwagon - The bar is located on 8080 Country Road 250. If you are looking for good old Western style entertainment, then this is the perfect place to visit. The bar offers exciting stage shows during the evenings, time to put on your boots and join in the shuffle!

Diamond Belle Saloon - The saloon is housed in the Strater Hotel which was built in 1887. The perfect venue to enjoy some honky tonk music and rag time piano entertainment.

Cuckoo's Chicken House - The sport's bar and restaurant is located on 128 East College Drive. The restaurant features 7 large TV's which each feature 5 different sport packages. The restaurant specializes in delicious chicken dishes and offers a variety of over 20 different styles of chicken wings.

DURANGO SHOPPING Add your favourite attraction
Durango is equipped with more than 500 different retail stores. These include stores selling items such as jewelry, sporting equipment and beautiful Southwestern art. A popular place to start a day of shopping is on Main Avenue, where you will a selection of boutiques, restaurants and speciality stores.

The Durango Mall is also a wonderful place for shopping, featuring many of the larger chain-stores and also smaller boutique-style shops.

Children's Museum of Durango - The museum features wonderful hands-on displays ranging from a wood shop, a puppet theatre, a miniature grocery store, a fun dress-up section, as well as computer games and an archeology section.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory - The factory consists of a 53,000 square foot area, which manufactures a large range of chocolate candy and other tasty treats. Tours are done by means of walking through the factory and meeting the chocolate makers.

Sleigh Rides - The Durango Mountain Resort offers great opportunities for sleigh rides during the winter months which offers enjoyment for the entire family.
