Golden Gate Park – Golden gate Park was transformed from an expanse of sand dunes into 1,000 acres of lush landscaping in the late 1800's. There are many trails for jogging, biking, horseback riding or strolling. The area is also home to golf courses, lawn bowling, a baseball diamond and soccer fields. Children can play on one of the many playgrounds, explore a live buffalo reserve or have fun riding a carousel.
Alcatraz Island – Once a world-famous prison that housed many of the countries most languorous criminals the island is now a must-see for San Francisco visitors. The island is breathtakingly beautiful and filled with fascinating history. The prison is now open for tours but make sure to bring a jacket; inside the prison it can be very chilly.
49 Mile Scenic Drive – There is no better way to explore the many sights of San Francisco than with a self-guided automobile tour of the city. Farallon San Francisco - Enjoy dining under the sea in the impressive and interesting decor of Farallon San Francisco. The bar is very crowded as locals and tourists enjoy one of the many pricey unique cocktails that the bar offers. The food is just as unique as the interior with dishes such as Sea Urchin and Dungeness crab. The menu is high-priced but the experience is well worth it.
Fresca - New to the San Francisco scene, Fresca is teaching the town how wonderful Peruvian dining truly is. The wonderful country feel of the dining area will allow guests to relax and feel right at home. The menu offers many Peruvian delights including seafood and meat dishes, seafood and more. Teatro ZinZanni - More than just dinner Teatro ZinZanni is an experience for all of your senses. The restaurant offers a five-course gourmet dinner mixed with a European cabaret, cirque arts, and comedy and theatrical presentations. This is an experience that must be had. New performers rotate in and out of the productions keeping the entertainment new and fresh all of the time. Families will enjoy acrobatics, comedians, jugglers, singers and even clowns.

Half Moon Bay - The charming little community of Half Moon Bay is perfectly accented by the four-mile beach that runs along the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The ocean is cold all year long and the currents are extremely strong. The trail that runs along the beach is perfect for biking and walking as well as horse back riding. Horses are not allowed on the beach but are allowed on the designated horse trail. Camp or enjoy dinner at one of the fabulous seafood restaurants in the area.
Gray Whale Cove - Gray Whale cove is named after the many whales that have appeared off the coastline. This secluded beach is just 20 miles south of San Francisco is clothing optional so visitors should be appropriately prepared. The beach stretches for 800-feet and is a popular beach for sun bathing.
Ocean Beach , Known for one of the “great” surfing beaches, Ocean Beach runs the entire west side of San Francisco. At the south end is Fort Funston. Enjoy a long walk down the shores or sunbath on the beautiful sands.

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream – Children and adults will jump at the opportunity to take and ice cream factory tour at the famous Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream factory. Tour the facility and learn about ice cream making and a look at the vats that hold 500-gallons of all varieties of ice cream. A sinful treat is the tasting room at the end of the tour.
Jelly Belly Factory Tours – Another fascinating and delicious tour is that of the Jelly Belly Factory. Watch as workers mix an odd assortment of ingredients to create these gourmet jellybeans. The free-guided tours are available throughout the day every few minutes. Visitors can test try new flavors and rate them for potential marketing. The center also includes a candy shop that visitors can browse.
Santa Cruz Beach - The Santa Cruz Beach is complete with a fascinating boardwalk that stretches for a mile and is filled with excitement for all ages. The area offers 30 rides for people of all ages, including a 1911 carousel and a roller coaster that has been thrilling people since 1924. Enjoy live music, an amusement center with miniature golfing, arcades and more, and a wide selection of boardwalk eateries. The park is open year-round.
