The Gold Nugget Museum - 502 Pearson Road. Dedicated to the valiable mineral that attracted the early settlers to the area, and for those that made the big finds this town is appropriately named. Learn about the huge nuggets that were discovered in the area over a century ago. The community are proud of their heritage and all work in the museum is done by volenteers. Plenty of happenings throughout the year.
Lake Oroville - Located in the state park close to Paradise. For the lovers of outdoor living this park offers great fishing, camping and boating. Feather River Fish Hatchery is where you can see some of the miricles of life. So if you have always wanted to take your son/daughter fishing and camping this is the place.
Honey Run Covered Bridge - This beautiful covered bridge was built in 1894 and runs over the canyon. The lower Paradise area is very scenic to drive and just a few miles from the bridge at 13544 Centerville Road is the Coleman Memorial Community Museum that houses artefacts from the gold minig era, Civil War relics and early Indian items. |

Comeback Diner - 6053 Clark Rd. This popular diner is located in a park like environment. The food is down home American style and kids are well catered for with their own menu. Eat inside or in the pleasant garden.
Spinning Wheel Restaurant - 5522 Skyway. A long time local favourite that offers Mexican and American food at a reasonable price. Try the juicy burgers for taste, size and value they can not be beaten.
Casa De Paradiso - 5667 Clark Rd. Good sized portions of Mexican food in this upmarket diner. They also serve fresh seafood and man sized steaks. You will not leave here feeling hungry and the value is very good.

| Chico Creek Nature Centre - Located in Bidwell Park, a short drive from Paradise. Great for education, the centre offers school trips and sleepovers. For the day-tripper, this large and beautiful park has plenty of nature trails and activities. The museum gives the visitor an insight into the nature of the area.

Albertson's - 6636 Clark Road, A Paradise institution is this downtown deli in the K-Mart Plaza. Albertson's will sell you fish and meat over the counter, rent you videos and even provide flowers for that special occasion.
Holiday Plaza - 6848 Skyway. The well located Plaza houses a variety of shops including a deli, bakery, pharmacy and the only laundry in the ridge that folks flock to with their dirty washing.
Chico Mall - This is the biggest mall in the area and the locals usually drive the few miles to do the weeks/months shopping. All the big name stores are available and there are several coffee shops and restaurants. |
