| It is claimed that in October 1527, the first galleon set sail from here to search for a route that would link America and the Philippines. Legend has it that many pirates, including Francis Drake, used to lie in wait off the coast of this region. |

Jet Ski Rental – Rent them from the main beach in Ixtapa, and then head out to explore the surrounding islands. This best done in the late afternoon as the sun is setting.
Massages – Head for one of the white tent structures on the beach for a 45-minute massage. Relaxing and therapeutic, it will also give you a break from the sun.
Parasailing – Arranged from the main beach, slowly glide across the sky for great views of the golf course, mountains and sea.

Zihuatanejo Beaches – Famous for their horse rides along the beach. Just head down to the waters edge and look out for the places where horses are available for higher. This is truly an exhilarating experience.

Playa la Ropa – Ixtapa – Known to be one of the most beautiful and safe beaches on the Mexican Pacific, this beach is ideal for the kids to go swimming, whilst watching the windsurfers ride the waves.
