TOP DESTINATIONS Add your favourite destination
City of Regina - Regina is known as Canada's Queen City and it is the provincial capital of Saskatchewan. The city is filled with a wide range of attractions that will keep you busy while visiting. Must see attractions include the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Centennial Museum, located on the grounds of the RCMP training grouonds. The 930 hectare Wascana Centre contains six different parks, as well as the Saskatchewan Science Centre/IMAX Theatre; Royal Saskatchewan Museum; and MacKenzie Art Gallery.

City of Saskatoon - This University city is the largest and most lively city in the province. The city is filled with craft shops; galleries; attractions; and festivals. Some of the must see attractions include the Western Development Museum; Ukrainian Museum of Canada; Diefenbaker Canda Centre; Saskatoon Zoo; and Wanuskewin Heritage Park. This is the place to go if you're looking to have fun and an unfogettable holiday.

Moose Jaw - This is the fourth largest city in Saskatchewan and was founded as a railway depot in 1882. This is another excellent place to go if you're looking to have a fun holiday, with many activities and attractions on offer. Attractions worth checking out include, Temple Gardens Mineral Spa which is a great place to relax and recharge you're body, mind and soul. Other attractions include the Tunnels of Moose Jaw tours and the Western Development Museum .


GREAT OUTDOORS Add your great outdoor
Prince Albert National Park - This is one of the best places for outdoor entusiasts, and it is where the aspen parkland of the south meets the boreal forest of the north. The park contains a number of rivers and creeks; many lakes; pasture; and areas of spruce bog.

There are also a number of wildlife roaming free throughout the park, including coyote; wild bison; black bear; moose; wolf; caribou; osprey; and eagles. There are a number of hiking trails and river raft trails that you can follow, guided tours are also on offer. Entrance to the park costs $4.


MOVING AROUND Add your opinion
Public transport in the Saskatchewan province is fairly limited. There are regular scheduled bus services available between all the major towns and a few of the smaller towns. There is also a once-daily summertime bus from Prince Albert to Waskesiu Lake; Prince Albert Park; and La Ronge. You can also hire rental cars in the major towns, which might be the best idea if you want to explore most of what the region has to offer.


NATIONAL FESTIVALS & HOLIDAYS Add your favourite festival
Saskatoon International Fringe Festival (end of July - beginning of August) - This annual festival is one of the highlights of the the Saskatoon events calendar. During this festival, Saskatoon plays host to around 50 theatre companies from all over Canada and the rest of the world, who present alternative theatre at several indoor and outdoor venues in the Saskatoon's Broadway area.

Canada's Golden Sheaf Awards (end of May) - This annual event is held in Yorkton, and is one of the most popular events of the year. The Golden Sheaf Awards is a competition for short film and video, and it attracts top film makers from all over the world. THe event is held in the Parkland Agriplex in Yorkton.
