LIVERPOOL ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Albert Dock – Take a walk along Albert Dock, Liverpool’s biggest attraction since the city fathers refurbished and renovated it. Filled with interesting museums, bars and restaurants, and over 50 shops, a family could spend the entire day on the waterfront enjoying what over five million visitors a year come to see.

Speke Hall – Set as it is on the banks of the Mersey, and surrounded by gardens and woodlands this magnificent half-timbered mansion is one of the finest of its kind in England. A visit allows exploration of secret priest holes, the 'eavesdrop' chamber, long walks through the gardens and woodlands, as well as a bite to eat at the tea-room.

20 Forthlin Road – Visit the birthplace of Beatlemania at sir Paul McCartney’s home when he was just a mop-headed kid along with the others of the fab four. 20 Forthlin Road is a simply terraced house and where the Beatles composed and practised their early music.

Cavern Quarter – Mathew Street, This was the site of the famous Cavern Club, where the Beatles used to play, which some idiot demolished in 1973, never realizing what a marvelous source of income it could become. In 1984 commonsense and business savvy kicked in and the place was rebuilt in 1984.

FACT (The Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) Liverpool - by Laura Yates from United Kingdom - 2005-12-17
It was seven years in the making. It cost £10m to develop, build and equip, and it's the first purpose-built arts project in Liverpool for over 60 years. Designed by award-winning architects Austin-Smith: Lord, no other UK-based arts centre offers the same quality and range in its programme, resources and activities. The FACT Centre provides a vibrant focal point in the £110 million redevelopment of the Ropewalks district of Liverpool and is a flagship project in the city's successful Capital of Culture bid. Two stunning galleries provide a space for temporary exhibitions of film, video and new media by internationally significant artists. Picture house at FACT comprises three state-of-the-art cinemas, screening art house and independent film. Working alongside the architects, FACT has commissioned a number of artworks that either form part of the building, for example the zinc-panelled exterior and its interactive lighting system, or are a response to it, such as the Singh Twins' beautiful light box portraits adjacent to the Wood Street entrance.
