Marmaris Castle - Constructed by the Ionians, this small castle was repaired during the time of Alexander the Great. It was again widened and repaired by Suleyman the Magnificent in 1522. After restorations lasting 10 years the castle was opened as a museum in 1991. It features seven galleries,containing collections of archaeological, historical, ethnographic and nautical exhibits.
Loryma (Bozukkale) - By far the most impressive structure in the settlement is the well-preserved reinforcement at the bay at Burunbasi. Nine rectangular towers, which are made from smooth rock-cut masonry, were built at the edge of Rhodes Island. Dissapointingly today, only the balcony tower at the northern end can still be seen.
Tashan and Kemerli Bridge - Constructed by Suleyman the Magnificent, the bridge, which is 10km along the Mugla road in the Iskelebasi region has arched bridges built from stone and brick. A definite must see for tourists.

The guys there are brill Victor and James food is excellent its location is on the opposite side of the September bar, just came back July 2007 they also love football shirts so if you have one spare hand it ova and they will hang it up for you (first class). The Brothers Fun Pub - Located on Siteler Mah. 207 Sokak Zarif Hotel Yani No 96 Marmaris. Sporting a restaurant and a bar, voted as one of the favourite hang outs by locals. Entertainment available includes live shows and great party music.
Davy Jones's Locker - Located on Bar Street, this night club has a great atmosphere with loud music and spot on cocktails. The perfect place to party with friends and work up a sweat by dancing all night long.
Vagabundo - Located on the beach front, this is a fantastic club, offering inexpensive drinks, friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere. It is a small bar but well worth a visit if only to see the gorgeous barmen and waiters grooving on the barcounters to the latest tunes.

You can get up on the bar top and start dancing.....get the "fish bowl" and just have a wiked time with your family friends and the bar staff! You Can Also Dance On The Poles, It Also Has A Outdoor Seating Area, So Id Your To Hot From All The Dancing Then You Can Go Outside.
This Was My Favourite Bar, We Spent Most Of Out Time In Here, And Got Our Excursions From Here. It Was Fantastic.

Marmaris is a shopper's dream - you can literally shop untill you drop! Located in the heart of the Ottoman castle, is the Carsi Market, where you'll find original, quality and value for money goods. It is open 7 days a week and on Sunday's you can expect to find the entire market (over 200 shops, including a flea market) packed to the brim.
Another market which is well worth checking out is the Marmaris Village Market, also known as the Thursday Market, where you will find fresh fruit and vegetables, fabrics and clothes. The market is held in G. Mustafa Muglali Caddesi and is open on Thursdays. |
