Caunos - The existance of the ruins was first discovered in 1842 and excavations have been done since 1967. There is an Acropolis that is surrounded by the city walls, a theatre, four temples and Roman baths. It will be well worth your time to visit the site which dates from 3000 BC.
Mud Baths - It is said that the baths remedy rheumatism as well as cleanse the skin. First you cover yourself in the mud and then you lay in the sun and wait for it to dry. Once it is dry, you wash yourself clean in a sulphar pool at a temperature of 40 degrees. Great fun for the entire family.
Koycegiz - Due to an earthquake some 350 years ago, the original city is now submerged under the lake. The second village was built on the opposite side of the lake, where it has become the home to a protected soft-shelled turtle called Trionyx Triuguis Triungularis.

Paradise Restaurant - A very popular restaurant with tourists, due to its infamous fresh forel fish and french fries. It has a beautiful setting and can be enjoyed by parents and children alike.
Riverside Restaurant - Maras Mah. 40. Offering the best fishes dishes in the area, it features a spectacular view of the Caunos. A very popular restaurant with tourists.
Yacht Restaurant - Located by the Marina of Fethiye a couple of kilometers from Dalyan. It features indoor seating as well as beautiful garden seating. It also has a bar, which is located in the garden area by the pool serving the large varieties of Turkish Cousine. Expect to be entertained by live music along with a Belly Dancer.

Dalyan beach features a canal through which water circulates between the Mediterranean Ocean and the Koygezic Lake and then winds back to the ocean through a small network of waterways. This has created a wetland with a mixture of salt and fresh water with a vast number of fish and waterlife.
The closest beach is at Iztuzu, which is 11 km away when travelling by road or boat. This magnificent sandbar stretches 5 km across the mouth of the Dalyan. It is one of the last remaining nesting grounds in the Mediterranean for the loggerhead turtle.

| Turkish style open markets are on every Saturday, where you can buy a selection of hand made textiles which are produced locally. Also available at the market is fresh seafood and drinks. Several souvenir shops offering traditional Turkish arts and crafts and a couple carpet dealers are also available.
